My husband and I both see a combined total of 4 doctors at Berkeley Eye Center. We always receive courteous and friendly care from all the staff from the phone call to make an appt. to the last person who escapes us to the checkout desk. I was anxious about having cataract surgery, but everyone involved made the experience smooth and PAINLESS! From the scheduler, Dr Miller and Dr McCaulley and including the surgical staff and discharge nurse, everyone did their job kindly, courteously an professionally. They put all my fears to rest. I had cataract surgery at the Katy Surgery Center and regular appointments at The Woodlands office. My experience at both facilities was excellent. Every person on the staff was competent and friendly and answered all questions. Dr. McCauley was excellent and very easy to talk to. The result on both eyes was great and the operations went very smoothly. I was initially leery of going through these surgeries, but thanks to Dr. McCauley's expertise, it went so smoothly that I felt comfortable throughout the process. I was very pleased at the extent to which Dr. McCauley went to find out why I have been unable to read, after having cataract surgery a year ago by another surgeon. I had hoped for lasik, but it was determined thru testing that I wasn’t a candidate for lasik, as he found a slight scar on my cornea. He recommended getting another pair of prescription glasses for reading only. So many places would say yes to lasik and then I would go thru all that and still not be able to read.
