Katzen Eye Care is my new eye care provider. I have been a patient of Total Vision prevously but have not needed their services for 3 years. Naturally they purged me from their system. I made an appointment on 06/04. I agreed to go to the Lutherville office in order to get the appointment I needed. I received an email from them on 06/06 confirming the appointment and requesting that I pre-register on their patient portal. I went through that entire process only to encounter a glitch on the last page so the pre-registration could not complete. I called their office and they confirmed the glitch and said it would be rep orted to the Practice Manager. I expressed concern that I would have to repeat the entire process in the office. I was told that I would not. I arrived 10 minutes early and was immediately told I had to fill out all documents manually. After that and a 20 minute wait while the front desk confirmed my insurance I was told my insurance was not valid. I insisted it is but was told the only way I could be seen was by paying some exorbitant copay and fees. I left an immediately contacted my insurance company and was assured that my coverage was valid and there was no reason I couldn't be seen today.
