You cannot ask for a better Doctor or office staff. I will continue to refer people to him and if I should need anything else done, I will certainly return. You might have to wait a little past your scheduled time, but it is so well worth it.

Staff is totally inept

I would NEVER recommend Dr. Ciotola to anyone. I went to him for a consult on a knee replacement. And as I admit I am overweight, after introducing himself he immediately pointed at my belly and asked 'why are you so fat'. I am a 41 year old female whom he has never met nor does he know anything about my personal or mental history. For him to ask a blunt, insulting, shaming and down right disrespectful question like that was unprofessional and crushing for me. All I could do was cry my way through the appointment. He asked me 'why I was so fat' and about 'my love for food' more than three times yet only addressed my knee concerns once. He never examined my knee nor asked me any questions about it. Only pointed out how 'fat' I was the whole time. I left the office feeling depressed and ashamed. I am glad I have the mental status I do because someone else may not, causing them to hurt themselves, an eating disorder or even massive depression. The way he spoke to me was unforgiveable and I would never want my sister, mother or daughter going to his office. Please, do not support his practice!

Dr. Ciotola is an amazing man. He replaced both hips. Was always so kind and gentle. He is my hero 2022

Doesn't take the time to listen to you. Runs his practice like a conveyor belt. Did not acknowledge me prior to surgery or discuss the surgery. Post op was the same. He walked out of the door as I am asking him a question. Would not recommend

I had an anterior hip replacement in Dec 2016 and it hasn’t given me any problems almost 6 yrs later. Dr Ciatola was excellent and so was the staff at Mercy Hospital. I can’t say enough good things about him and Mercy Hospital. It was my right hip and I was driving at 2 weeks post op👍. My family and friends were so surprised at how fast I recovered. I was too and very pleased. Thank you Dr Ciatola for being the best!! H L Coffey

Terrible beside manner. My husband was asking about why his leg was getting blisters on it.In mid sentence he just walks out the door and never came back went to his next appointment. His physician assistant looked as shocked as I was. Unbelievable we never went back. Very sad this day and age some Dr,s act like this.

Excellent care from preop thru anesthesia,surgery ,recovery & followup, all patient oriented.Was ablle to have 2 replacements within 3wks@85yoa.

2/21/22 - I just had my second hip replaced by Dr. Ciotola, twelve years after the first one was replaced. I trust him completely. I have had great success with the first, am still recovering from the 2nd. He, his staff, and the staff at Mercy Medical were caring, kind, always compassionate, and knowledgeable. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Ciotola to friends. I am very grateful for his skills in the anterior approach to hip replacement, which makes recovery and rehabilitation so easy!
