Lindsay Appel's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Appel herself is great and I've never had any problems with her in anyway. The problem is the staff who answer the phones. They're condescending and they're rude. Definitely switching to another OBGYN after this recent encounter.

I had a very hard pregnancy, Dr.Appel and her staff were amazing helping me get through it and delivering my baby. I highly recommend her and I'm super thankful for her help and kindness through such a tough time in my life.

Dr. Appel has been a wonderful Dr. for my wife. Unfortunately, my review is based on her staff and their treatment of my wife. My wife had complications from an oral surgery (done by a different doctor.) In between the time she had the surgery and when we discovered the complications, we also learned that she was pregnant. Because of the pregnancy, the oral surgeon required a letter from her OBGYN. Dr. Appel is the only doctor who had seen my wife for a previous pregnancy and because we had only just discovered this pregnancy, we had not seen her for this pregnancy. When we called her Canton office in order to get this letter, her staff refused to put us through to any doctor in the office. The staff member said that Dr. Appel couldn't write the letter because she hadn't seen my wife for this pregnancy yet and offered to schedule an appointment. The reader should understand that at this point, my wife's swelling was so bad she was unable to swallow food or drink and had to be on an IV because of dehydration in the ER. Once my wife was released from the ER we went to her office in person. When we got there, there were 3 staff members sitting at the front desk. Her staff refused to open the door for us. They said they were on "lunch break" and refused to contact Dr. Appel. They were rude and condescending despite seeing my wife with an incredibly swollen cheek, in excruciating pain, spitting into a cup because she was unable to swallow through the door. When we finally were able to contact Dr. Appel through myportal, Dr. Appel happily wrote the letter for my wife allowing my wife to receive treatment which allowed her to get seen by the oral surgeon. Although this story has a happy ending, because of her staff's rudeness, laziness, and uncaring behavior, my wife suffered debilitating pain for 6 hours longer necessary, because not a single one of the three staff members could interrupt their lunch break to make a simple phone call to call a doctor. I am praying that the pain, stress, and lack of food and water my wife suffered did not harm the pregnancy.

I love the team of ladies in this office. Doctor Appel always was there to listen to any of my concerns and help guide me threw my pregnancy. Abby always made the schedule that best fits me she really made it comfortable for me. And Bianca that’s my girl. The best of the best always took time to talk to me and made things feel at home I love this office and would recommend for all ladies to visit them. The best of the best. Thank you ladies❤️🌹

I’m giving a 5 star because Dr Appel is really good and took great care of us when we had our first child, my issue is with the front staff, very rude, misleading information, we schedule an appointment through that location for my girlfriends confirmation, we called the same exact office to say that we were running late, we walked in and they told us the appointment was in downtown, after we had already called the canton office and they confirmed appointment and never said anything about a location, we were also treated like we never been there and like it was our first time there but we already been through this process with the SAME PEOPLE, SAME LOCATION, just very unprofessional and sad for people to act like this, times are hard already and things are not so easy to figure out with the pandemic. Also you should not go to a office that does not allow the father in the room at all times, my girlfriend didn’t get pregnant to do this alone for 9 months, your front staff needs to get it together and stop giving out wrong information and acting like they didn’t do anything and just have better energy overall because the vibe, the people, everything was off about the office.

I have been through many different doctors trying to figure out exactly and about 5 years what was going on. At my first appointment she came up with a game plan, got me referred to the specialist's I needed to see and bas been great guiding me through my first pregnancy.

Would NOT recommend this office. Made an appt to meet Dr Appel & learn about family planning. The first available appt was over a month out in which she ended up cancelling. I came in for my rescheduled appt and waited 1.5hrs before being taking back. I happened to get pregnant in between the time I made the appt and the time of my visit and the nurse was pressuring me to get all these blood tests and exams done although i just wanted to meet the doctor and wasn't due for an exam. I met the doctor for 5mins and didn't even get through all the questions I had because I just felt so uncomfortable about the whole visit. Even though I declined all the test the nurse, NOT the doctor, was forcing me to have, I still received a bill for over $350. I had made 2 other appts similar to this one with other local OBGYNs and was charged nothing. When trying to rectify this charge with the office they refused to tell me what I was being billed for and sent my account to collections. While I'm sure Dr Appel is a fine doctor, her staff was unprofessional, rude, and cannot be trusted. I've never had an experience like this before and would not recommend to anyone.

Dr. Appel is wonderful! As a new soon-be-mom, she was extremely thorough when answering all my questions (office visits and through the app), always made sure I knew what to expect, and guided me through every step of the way. Her office is easy to get to and her team is equally exceptional.

I absolutely love Dr. Appel! She was there with me every step of the way during pregnancy and knows how to offer medical advice and opinions without making you feel pressured and I really liked that. She also championed my choice to hire a doula and she is very easy to talk with. Every time I walked in the office her receptionist greets me by name and tells me I’m checked in and I also have a good rapport with her aide, Bianca . I started seeing her two and a half years ago based on her reviews and I’m so glad I did!

Dr. Appel has been fantastic throughout my entire pregnancy. She is super caring and takes the time to make sure all of your questions are answered. She is also super responsive to questions emailed through my chart- which is SO helpful. I am so grateful to have her as my OBGYN! The support staff, Bianca and Abby are always so pleasant and helpful as well! Dr. Appel and her staff are one of a kind!
