List of Mercy Medical Center Emergency Department's Reviews
It's very nice there. Busy and clean with plenty of help finding where we were going!
To whom it may concern: I'm not sure who or what but, something is terribly wrong. Why are there only 2 doctors for God knows how many patients. First of all there is no etiquette. And to treat sick, hurting, helpless patients is inconceivable. The health dept and whomever else needs to have a look at there methods. Very Very disgusting I am very very disappointed. Mercy is getting a bad reputation.
The registration and triage nurses were incredibly helpful and patient. Although I did have to wait a few hours to be admitted into a room, I got seen by the staff pretty quickly upon entering. The doctors and nurses who attended me made sure to explain to me what may have been the causes of my symptoms and explained the required/necessary steps to move on forward once I was discharged. I was amazed by the care I received from entering almost at midnight to leaving the ER at 3 am. Parking was a bit confusing as a new patient coming in by myself and from Baltimore County. You also do have to pay for parking. But other than that, I think it is a great place to be treated at.
They have some great doctors and nurses but unfortunately they have doctors and nurses that are aragent rude and they have additudes and I will not get treatment at this emergency department because they treated me extremely bad and they had additudes with me as a patient so I regret to give this emergency room a bad rep and in addition they need to train there staff better and listen to there patients
I write this as I CURRENTLY sit in the waiting room. I've been here four 8 HOURS... almost 9. Got here around 4pm and the time now sits at 1244 am. I understand to concept of getting ppl seen who are more critical but DAMN!!! When does it become get ppl seen and out.
Went to the Mercy ER on March 29th and the ER doctor that saw me was entirely dismissive. I came in with severe leg pain, swelling, and numbness and he just assumed that the issue was with my herniated disc. Mind you, I had already been cleared by my neurosurgeon on March 19th. Also this issue with my leg occurred after doing an extreme amount of walking (extreme for me at least). I explained all this to the doctor but he was so sure it had to do with my herniated disc. He did not do any actual testing, no blood work, or anything. He essentially sent me home with prednisone and told me to contact my neurosurgeon if I don't feel better in another few days. The pain never went away and so I ended up going to a different ER, Ascension St Agnes, and they were so much better. They took great care of me and did some blood work test and found out I was in the beginning stages of Rhabdomyolysis. Rhabdomyolysis is a very serious life-threatening condition and if it wasn't caught in time it could potentially damage my kidneys which would lead to dialysis and another host of complications. Hopefully I will not need the services of an ER room, but if I do I will be going to Ascension St Agnes and not Mercy.
This is a horrible hospital do not come here the staff is really rude and disrespectful they think that they are better then the people who come to them for help. You get nothing bored t attitude and disrespect from the staff
Sometimes crowded but not for long. Drs and nurses always on top of everything. Quality care and pretty much a clean place. I recommend for anyone especially in the Baltimore area. They handle everything you can imagine.
If I could give 0 stars I would. One male nurse was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. Refused to help me with my pain didn’t evaluate me at all. Simply came in the room expressed how many patients he has and told me unless I’m dying they will not help me. I told him I am a 19 year old out of state college student dealing with incredible pain from my IUD. DO NOT come to mercy if you want to be respected.
Would give zero stars if I could, how long does it take to do simple stuff????

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
