MIchael A. Randolph's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Randolph has treated me and my family since 2004. He requires professionalism at all times from his staff. Ms. Randolph is a skilled manager and nutritional expert as related to patients diet, education and outreach. I have never had a problem with the quality of care provided by this office. Any front desk issues are resolved with attention to patient care. Dr. Randolph, Ms. Randolph's and Emily, P. A. are involved in every aspect of patient care from treatment to how patients are expected to be treated. This medical office responds to patient care with quality and you never feel rushed out the door with unanswered questions.

Dr. Randolph has been my primary care doctor for nearly 15 years. He and is staff have always been professional and responsive. Plus, he has the best music playing in the background of his office!

Dr. Randolph is a phenomenal doctor! He has been my PCP for 3 years and literally saved my life as i could not find a diagnosis for my illness at the time i came into his care. He literally gathered my team fantastic physicians together to heal me and later have surgery that got me back on the road to health. He listens and takes your health seriously and never makes you feel your concerns are not valid. All while utilizing the best practices and procedures in modern medicine. Even my PT is impressed by his level of care, concern and attentiveness as a patient. All the doctors he reccomends for other services are top notch as well which says alot. He truly cares and it shows. Its hard to find good care in this day and age but his office provides just that in my opinion. His PA Emily and Phlebotomist Nayan are a class act btw. Medstar has the best doctors in MD!

I loved going to Dr. Randolph & Emily but I will not be returning since their new receptionist. She’s very ghetto, lied about my arrival time and overall very unprofessional.

I've been a patient of Dr. Randolph for over 20 years. Dr. Randolph was a very caring and supportive physician. I currently resided in another state, but Maryland is my home. So when I come to town to visit my family. I always make an appointment. A year ago on my last visit I was confronted by his office manager. She questioned why I don't find a doctor in my current state of residence. To make a long story short. I received a letter from Dr. Randolph stating that he's least me as a patient for non payment of $135.13. It's hard to find a good physician, it's even harder to find a physician that cares. It's just hard to believe that $135.13 is all that it takes to be dismissed as a patient of over 20 years.

Dr. Randolph has been my PCP for over 20 years. Dr. Randolph is incredible ,very caring and compassionate. He takes the time to understand and comfort his patients needs and concerns. He's not the kind of physician that will push any type of medication a patient with give all the fact. Dr. Randolph had no problems keeping as a patient on I moved out of town. Great staff with exception of his office manager. His office manager is very rude and unprofessional. On my last visit back in 2018, I was unable to pay my bill of $134.00. I received a letter stating that Dr. Randolph will no long be my PCP. Over twenty years as a patient and this was how it ended over 134.00. In this day of age it's very to come across a Physician that you can trust and be comfortable with me.

warm caring very professional and funny Staff so very nice and pleasant Greeted when you entered and they knew patients and called them by name. Appeared to take an interest in you and I liked them very much. Sent note to let me know findings from tests as well. I loved my visit.

He has been my doctor for over 10 yrs. He's professional and friendly. The office staff are courteous and polite. He works fast and he's often reminded to slow down. He's a great doctor. I appreciate him. :)

Great doctor, amazing person. He’s very friendly and energetic. He takes time to answer questions, doesn’t seem to be in a rush, yet doesn’t make you wait long. He is available to help you when you’re in the office and when you’re at home. He called me after hours to assist me with something and I appreciate that so much. His staff is also incredibly friendly. Best primary care doctor available in MD.

I like Dr. Randolph more than the numbers seem to be shaking out on this review. He is very nice and friendly, obviously very competent and knowledgeable, and I would much prefer my PCP to be an internist than a family practitioner. But I fear he may be overburdened. He (or his office) has gotten slow in getting lab results and other information out; it happens when I follow up. During a visit, he spends too much time talking and not enough listening--this is probably my biggest gripe--and then he has others to attend to. I honestly don't know how much he really could have done different about the following, BUT: Over the years, my total cholesterol has gone up. Over recommended levels, by far. My HDL ("good" cholesterol) was always way high; in fact the lab report came back with an asterisk denoting that such levels are considered "protective" against coronary artery disease. He for quite a while told me not to worry about it, it's good, my weight was OK, "you'll probably live to be a hundred." Then, I had a heart attack. I called the office and reported this, but received no follow-up, which maybe isn't necessary but certainly would have been nice. Like I alluded to above, I'm not blaming him, and honestly everyone has been pretty surprised about the MI (I'm thin, relatively young and fit, no family history or other known risk factors, etc.). And it should be pointed out that the ground is full of heart patients with no known risk factors. Still, I can't help but think that if he wasn't so harried we'd have been able to discuss this more. At one point a year or two ago he said 'we can talk about putting you on a statin" but there was never any follow-through. I'm left thinking perhaps this could have been averted. To tell the truth though, I doubt his situation is much different from most practitioners today. I've left his practice, but only because I've moved away from the area. I hope readers don't take this the wrong way--I'm just being honest and thorough here. I think he's a good doctor, and I'd recommend him to anyone, but I'd advise ALL patients of ANY doctor, especially a PCP, to be informed and aggressive about their medical care. You can't assume that anyone, anywhere, has the time to do their job as thoroughly as they should be able to.
