MIchael Blume Md's Online Review Report Card

I had been seeing dr. Blume for years. I had a serious illness that required a surgery. Dr. Blume didn’t think I was having a problem. He concluded that all it was in my head and had required possibly a psychological attention. Luckily, I had found a doctor who quickly recognized the problem, and found out, that I had been scheduled for an emergency surgery.

Dr. Blume has not only been incredibly Attentive, being available on evenings and at all times with his excellent office employees and answering service; but My wife has suffered with gastric pain for the majority of her life and He is the first doctor that has truly continued to leave no stone unturned. I am so Grateful there are Professionals like him. My son and I need my wife, and he truly treats his patients like family.

If the receptionist or the person who called me back is an indication of the doctor attitude I don't want any part of their service. The receptionist I thought was arrogant and rude. My doctor recommended me and was asked why I didn't go back to the previous doctor no reason. Now she wasn't the doctor but was diagnosing over the phone very unprofessional in tone and attitude...

He was wonderful: as a physician & as a person.

I went to see Dr. Blume as a new patient today, and was very impressed with how comfortable he makes it to talk with him. He is very detailed in what he tells you and makes sure you understand everything. He also asks if you have any questions about anything and definitely spends quality time with his patients. You don’t feel rushed or nerveous when talking to him. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a Gastroenterologist!

Dr. Blume was very caring and patient. He did an excellent job treating me and making me feel comfortable. Very happy I found him :-)

Dr Blume was personal and appeared concerned. Said I had IBS and did give a treatment that worked. However, taking imodium AD isn't good for long term. The REAL problem is billing. I do NOT recommend getting blood work in the office. Labcorp still does not have the issues resolved and Dr Blume office has NEVER gotten back to me. The person to talk with is never available.

He was very thorough with my husband's case and was even an out of the box thinker to prevent doing yet another invasive surgery on my husband. He's bedside manners were excellent and was willing to explain any questions we might have! Thank you!! (We saw him in a hospital setting)

I have been seeing Dr. Blume for many years. He diagnosed a problem that no one could figure out, and if the problem was not taken care of as quickly as it was, it could have killed me, by causing alot of damage to vital organs. When he got the results, he called me on a Jewish Holiday, I knew then it was serious. How many doctor would do that? Once I was sent to the proper Dr. for care, it was resolved, and hasn't reoccured. Dr. Blume has a great sense of humor, but very compassionate, and definitely cares about his patients, he listens to what they have to say, and answers all questions and concerns, and will take the time he feels needed to help you. He has helped me many times with stomach problems, which are completely fine now, and on no medications. My own family doctor goes to him,and he referred me to Dr. Blume. I can't say enough about him, he's the best in his field, and I love this guy, he's great. All physicians should be this good.
