List of MIchael Grodin's Reviews
Dr. Grodin was knowledgeable but lacked a good bedside manner. Seemed very arrogant and condescending. Will not be to Dr. Grodin in the future. Will also never recommend him to anyone.
Very personable, very professional, very thorough, very kind. He took his time to explain everything to me, in terms that made it clear. I don’t feel nervous about the exam at all! I would recommend Dr. Grodin highly! Also, the staff are wonderful too! Anna Marie Cowan
Dr. Grodin billed wrong codes for my son's visit. My son was worried about a "wrinkle" in his eye, so Dr. Grodin checked it and found nothing. A few minutes worth of visit, no problem diagnosed or treatment required - the bill is for more than $500. Code 92225 cannot be billed unless a serious pathology is found. It was billed TWICE, each for $100. Code 99204 is used for moderate severity cases, ours was low since nothing at all was wrong, so the appropriate code is 99203. Now I have to pay it.
I was referred by my optometrist for a specialist's opinion of a spot on my retina. I found Dr. Grodin very relaxing and friendly for a specialist. He answered all my questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing specialized retinal care. The Katzen staff get five stars also.
Came across as impatient and condescending. My optometrist had referred me over an issue that was possibly minor, but she wanted to make sure. He seemed knowledgeable but I would not return to someone who talks to me like I am stupid, given the options in the city and county.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
