List of Neil Friedman's Reviews
I worked at Johns Hopkins Breast Center at Greenspring in the Radiology department, and all I ever heard from the Mammo techs was, Dr. Neil Friedman is the best. Now I'm at Hopkins and he is at Mercy. So when everyone said, why are you going to him? I replied, I want the best surgeon, not someone because he is a co-Doctor/worker or has good bedside manners. I am now 11 years cancer free and have met 3 other ladies (I did not know, while riding horses) who had him as their surgeon as well, MY Aunt also went to him for her breast cancer, she loved him as well. Dr. Friedman also sent me to the best Chemo Dr. there is. Barbara Ashley who was part of his team was so awesome, so sorry she retired. She kept saying, you need to see Dr. Friedman next year for your yearly checkup, I said, Barb, some lady got her cancer diagnoses today. She needs to see him, he picked you and I trust him, if he trusts you, I trust you. The man is smart, caring, and I trust him more than anyone will ever know.
Dr. Neil Friedman is an amazing doctor.
I would like to thank Dr. Friedman who performed breast surgery in August. Very professional and excellent. It was comforting to me at such a stressful time to know that I was in good hands. The staff; nurses, occupational therapy at the hospital and the office staff were wonderful. Thanks so much!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Friedman. I’ve seen him in the office for several years. I recently had surgery at Mercy Medical Hospital. The entire team was phenomenal. It’s been a few weeks, so please forgive me if I can’t remember everyone. Susan, amazing surgery coordinator who made scheduling my surgery super easy. Gina, my wonderful pre-op nurse who coaxed an IV into my terrified veins. Mallory, my anesthesiologist, I really hope that was her name. She was great. Put me completely at ease. My “drivers” Richard and Michelle - thank you. Richard helped fit all my hair into two caps. Bless his heart. My wonderful post op nurses who made sure I was comfortable before I went home. Surgery is no fun. But if you must have it, this is the place to have it, THIS is the team to have. Thank you all so very much.
Dr Friedman is an excellent doctor but his front desk staff is the WORST. Dr. Friedman did my mastectomy, (which by the way went really badly, as the skin they were trying to save died, but that was probably not his fault). Recently my gynecologist found a lump/nodule and she wanted me to follow up with Dr. Friedman. His staff said that he could fit me in March 2020 which is 13 months from now. When I suggested that 13 months was a long time to check out a lump for someone who has had cancer twice, his staff conferred and managed to move me to August, 8 months from now. Nice.
He is my current surgeon and one of the absolute best, I couldnt be any more happier that I found this caring, compassionate, honest doctor. He put together the best team for me. I am completely grateful for this wonderful doctor and his hard work.
Dr. Neil Friedman was the first breast surgeon suggested by my GYN when it was determined that I would have a non cancerous papilloma removed. I first met him this July for a consultation. I have never felt so comfortable and left feeling like I had always known him. That is how he makes you feel. Right from the start he answered all of my questions and concerns simply by reviewing the results of my tests with me and what would be done in surgery. He is totally open to all questions. His attention is solely on you. My results today are wonderful. I am so happy that he is now my surgeon. Going home the same day as an outpatient, I never needed the prescribed pain med. Thank you Dr. Friedman Went back for a follow up this year Oct. 31, 2018. It went extremely well. Dr. Friedman is very thorough. I was very happy with the peace of mind I felt after my final results .I have recommended him to family and friends. He has an outstanding staff. Hawa, Darlene and Chrissy were fantastic. Hawa had me checked in in no time. I was immediately met at the door for my follow up with Dr. Friedman by Chrissy. She lead me to the examining room and explained in detail everything I needed to do. The last was check out with Darlene and that went extremely smooth as well. I was actually leaving close to the time my appointment was scheduled. I was out the door and on the road thanks to Dr. Friedman, Hawa, Chrissy and Darlene.
Great person and a GREAT doctor. No detail too small, no question unanswered. Every important person in my life sees him.
Simply the best! If you are searching for the best Breast surgeon, look no more...Dr. Friedman is the best around and very compassionate to his patients! He has been my doctor since I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. I am blessed to have found Mercy Medical and Dr. Friedman.
I became a patient at the Hoffberger Breast Center in October 2017. This was my very first experience with Mercy. My first appointment was with Dr. Neil Friedman and I was experiencing a wealth of emotion...fear, nervousness, anxiety, sadness, and the list goes on and on. What helped me on my initial visit was Dr. Friedman's overall presentation. His patience, expertise, genuine concern, understanding, and obvious passion for his profession are some of his many attributes I took notice of. After my initial visit, I knew I made the right decision concerning both my physician and hospital selection. From that day forward, I had full confidence in Dr. Friedman. He answered my numerous questions, exercising great patience because I had LOTS of questions. There were even times, I forgot to pose questions during my appointment, so I called him later that day and he kindly answered those questions, providing very detailed information and not the slightest bit annoyed by my additional questions. Dr. Friedman, a consummate professional, is compassionate, honest, and thorough. He is an absolute credit to his profession. My experiences with him have been nothing but positive even on occasions when he had to deliver less than pleasant information like my cancer diagnosis and required mastectomy. He delivered both messages in a manner in which I could receive and not be afraid, especially considering the mastectomy would be my first surgery EVER. Because of his business acumen and our countless appointments, I had full confidence in his recommendations for my course of treatment, as all our conversations left me feeling comfortable, armed with a plethora of information pertaining to my diagnosis, surgery, and everything thereafter. In addition to receiving stellar care from Dr. Friedman, I also received outstanding service from his entire staff. Each visit, they greeted me with authentic smiles, warmth, and professionalism. They went beyond their duties by assisting me when I had multiple appointments on the same day, sometimes conflicting. They were very accommodating, helpful, and pleasant while maintaining their commitment to professionalism. For both Dr. Friedman and his staff, mediocrity is unacceptable; it's obvious in both their words and actions. Being treated at the Hoffberger Breast Center and having Dr. Neil Friedman as my surgeon have been blessings to me. My first introduction to Mercy was stellar because of the Hoffberger Breast Center and Dr. Neil Friedman. Despite the conditions that brought me to Mercy, I am eternally grateful for this introduction. I do not believe I could have received such a favorable outcome if I had gone anywhere else. This has been an amazing journey because the staff is beyond superior and speaking candidly, five stars and this review do not begin to adequately describe Dr. Friedman nor his staff. He is deserving of more, much more than any accolade, but his humility will not allow for that. Dr. Friedman is worth more than his weight in platinum, gold, and diamonds combined. What he did for me is priceless and he is, indeed, a gem.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
