Philip Neubauer's Online Review Report Card

He lacks in bedside manner and comes across as arrogant. He talked a lot but didn't seem to give us any clear answers. He kept repeating the same thing, specifically I need to bend my leg. I totally understand this is good advice, but when asked about timelines best or worse case scenario he would just repeatedly say you need to bend your knee. On multiple occasions he said if you were my daughter I would want this to be fixed as soon as possible. I'm sure this was said to be kind, but with all due respect I would have preferred a little more insight of a timeline or future solutions as opposed to the daughter comment.

I’ve never been treated so rudely beginning with my hospital stay. All was good before surgery, kidding and joking around. Once surgery was over I was treated poorly. I developed a blood clot which I had to tell him I believed I had. He did the test saying to me, “if it makes you happy “ to have it done. His assistant was rude as well. This was 2 years ago and I’m still suffering with a bad knee. I ended up in ER, they couldn’t reach him. I saw him next day and instead of looking at my knee and swollen leg, he pointed his finger at me and actually yelled at me about going to the ER. He actually said I was to call him, did I understand?. He wouldn’t even look at my leg. Walked out on me. Never saw him again and no one has ever followed up with me from his office. I was shaking and in tears when I left. Very Arrogant

Dr Neubauer did not exam me at all. I knew I needed both knee replaced, but I feel he should have realized l needed hip replacement first. I always felt rushed. Now, my hip needs a replacement. He said, my weight is an issue. I know there are doctors that do surgery on over weight people. Shame on him for not recommending someone that will. Very disappointed with his attitude towards his patients. A friend also had knee replacement with him and is very sorry she ever went to him. Good doctors can be arrogant, but they should also examine a patient and know if it’s their hip or knee. A thorough doctor would have known that and asked more questions or watched me walk down the hallway. If they are that good at their job, they would have caught this.

I have arthritis knee pain very bad. Dr Neubauer assured me everything was gonna be alright. He's professional with a sense of humor. I was there last Friday to get my cortisone shot. I was so nervous going in walked out a new woman. Best Dr ever 💯👍🏾

Dr. Nuebauer replaced my Hip about 9 months ago. He added 3/4 inch to the length of my leg, refused to admit he did it; refused to order any diagnostic service; failed to refer me to a Physical Therapist. This guy is Arrogant, Incompetent and indifferent, not to mention a dishonest bum. 4 years later and I am still dealing with the consequences of his botched work

BEST ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON EVER!! Great Sense of Humor and awesome Bed Side Manner. He didn't hold anything back either. He said the pain would be excruciating and he was right!! But, if I follow his Instuctions and do my Physical Therapy, I will be on the road to a full recovery! I have known him for over 8 Years, and I WOULD NEVER consider going to anyone else. Plus, I LOVE bantering/joking with him back and forth. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Neubauer and if I could, would give him 50 Stars!! Looking forward to my Post OP Appointment!!

I has been putting this hip surgery off for months until I couldn't go on so I finally went back to Dr. Neubauer and said lets do this he smile and said ok. I'm so glad I did I went in on Jan.20,2020 and here I am up walking with little pain from the surgery. Thank you Dr. Neubauer and your staff God bless y'all for the wonderful work you do. I would recommend him to all who need any kind of joint surgery. A man of few words but his work speak for him. THANKS!!!!!!!!

Mercy Medical/Hospital and Dr. Neubauer were great! November 25, 2019 I had my left hip replaced. I recommend to anyone thinking that this is something that may need to be done, DO IT. Dr. Neubauer is a wonderful, skilled surgeon who has a personality. I've dealt with doctors over the years who were just completely mean and dismissive, not this guy! He told me my options and gave me good information to make the decision to have anterior hip replacement. I feel great, pain is gone 6 weeks out. Back to work and happy to get my life back! Thanks Doc!
