Horrible experience...Pannicular not done properly...Caused a hole in my stomach...Months to heal...Was sent back to hospital by ambulance...Now I have 2 stomach hernias

Dr. Nguyen answered all questions, included my husband on procedure and post procedure care. I have no complaints. 3 days post surgery and already see a major difference.

Dr. Nguyen is the best surgeon ever. He performed two surgeries on me and my experience was the best. He has the best staff they let you know what you to expect up front. Dr. Nguyen is a very caring person and his bedside manner is exceptional. I will always refer him to my family and friends.

Absolutely the WORST Dr I have taken time out of my day to try and add to my medical treatment team. Not only was he extremely rude, unconcerned about my actual presenting issue, and absolutely DID NOT LISTEN TO ME ABOUT MY CURRENT HEALTH ISSUES (THAT AFFECT THE POSSIBLE COURSE OF TREATMENT) I can't have anesthesia like normal people, and he wouldn't take 2 seconds to think outside the box to prevent that. He then proceeded to rudely chastise me and tell me that my requests were that of childish ends. I am a grown woman with chronic illness who WILL NOT allow a Dr to harm me ever again! Mercy, you need to do better! This man has been reported to you multiple times!

I recieved my surgery, a year and a half ago.. i was so pleased with my work but i did have some issue's. One side was bigger than the other and to correct the problem, the doc said i would need another surgery.. The surgery was very uncomfortable and know that the fat have to go elsewhere.. My butt got bigger and my waist line still smaller but i do have back fat which my insurance didnt cover, but i wasn't told that.. Overall i would refer him because medical assistance help paid for the procedure but u dont gey a flat stomach ...

I really wanted to post a positive review of Dr.Phuong, because he looked good on paper, but my experience with him has been appalling. First and foremost, he tried to hastily shut me down 13 minutes after the start of our consultation saying that there was another patient waiting. This fact alone is inadmissible and inexcusable. Probably, this is not his fault. I suspect his medical practice manager does that. They want to be able to see as many patients as possible in the shortest amount of time because, after all, that is how they milk insurance companies. I have reasons to believe that Dr. Phuong freely discussed my case with another doctor, without my explicit consent, and I can tell that he came to my consultation with his mind already made up. However, he did not pay attention to what I was telling him and, at best, he only cursorily read the first few lines of the descriptive pages I had sent him. Parenthetically, he was mistaken in his assumption about my cephalic index.

My experience has been exceptional, Dr. Nguyen and his staff have been comforting and professional throughout the whole process. I'm extremely pleased.

I have only had one other surgery. A C-section. This experience with the office staff and surgeon has been phenomenal. I am not sure where other negative reviews are deriving from. He is professional, experienced, and I have 3 other people that have went to him prior with successful results as well. Dr. Nguyen and office staff makes things really easy, explain things really well, answers all phone calls, and emails in a timely manner. I could not have asked for a better experience and he comes highly recommended from me!

I had a tummy tuck surgery. My recovery pain was minimal, my scar looks great and he explained everything before and after surgery. His works is great.

Dr. Nguyen is smart, knowledgeable, detail oriented, experienced and gentle. He has excellent bedside manners and explains his procedures and after care in great detail. He always ask if you have questions, are your comfortable and if he can do anything else for you? He is great at offering self. He performed my Panniculectomy surgery six days ago. It was the most painless procedure ever! I want into a clean surgery center (Mercy), with great receptionists, smiling nurses, and an awesome anesthesiologist. I woke up three hours later, pain free! With the surgeon (Dr. Nguyen) at the foot of the bed. He was there checking me :) I felt so good knowing that I had a surgeon who cares not just about the surgery but my recovery as well. My follow up visit in his downtown office was just as welcoming. His reception is super sweet, knowledgeable, friendly and organized. The office is warm and welcoming and you have tons of parking nearby in various garages. His office also validates your garage ticket. I would highly recommended Dr. Nguyen and his staff for any and every surgical need. I can’t name one person that has ever told me the surgeon came to the post-op room to check on them. I believe firmly that you can tell a persons character best by what they do when people are not looking. I woke up from my anesthesia at the right time :)
