List of Rebecca Cerrato's Reviews
Dr. Rebecca Cerrato is the doctor you want, if you need foot or ankle surgery. Dr. Cerrato did a corrective arch reconstruction on my left foot in March 2022. She never appeared rushed to get to her next appointment. Dr. Cerrato listened to my concerns, answered my questions and explained the various procedures necessary to correct my foot problems. She even invited me to call her later, if I had additional questions. Because of her air of confidence in her ability to help me, I was certain she would be the surgeon to do my corrective arch reconstruction. Her apparent compassion for my situation was comforting and confirmed my decision to allow her to do my surgery. The pain that I had for four years is now gone. Other than being an orthopedic surgeon of the highest skill level, Dr. Cerrato is personable and communicates clearly. I have recommended Dr. Cerrato to family, friends and any strangers who say they have foot problems.
DR. Cerrato is an amazing surgeon ! I always get compliments of what an amazing job she did on my ankle, and I cannot thank her enough for enduring the surgery no one was willing to take on ! she did an "immaculate" job! :) most of all and most importantly she has amazing bedside mannor, is very kind, caring and down to earth. She is genuine. If I could give her 10 stars I would ! 10 /10 definitely recommend. She knows what she's doing , and she does it well! Thank you DR. Cerrato! ❤ 🐾👣 I'm forever thankful
Caring ortho who really listens. Never felt rushed and care has been excellent. Xrays and other diagnostic available in the office, which avoids multiple appointments. Practice seemed well organized too -- never waited more than 20 mins past appt time. Convenient location at Mercy with bus nearby.
Dr Cerrato performed surgery on my ankle three times and I was so fortunate to have her. She is brilliant. It is fourteen years and I can walk normally. I would recommend her highly. She really cares and takes very good care of her patients! 🙏🏻❤️
Dr. Cerrato spent a lengthy amount of time with me in the first visit exploring all possibilities to solve my issue. She ran more tests on site and spoke with me after — which she could have easily scheduled for a follow up appointment but instead chose to inconvenience herself over me since I was coming in from out of town. She quickly answered numerous questions I sent her over a period of several weeks before surgery, and the surgery itself was a smooth painless process. She made some changes to the procedure during the surgery based on what she saw, and I’m very grateful for that. When having a surgery, you want a doctor you can fully trust who is not afraid to make changes to the anticipated procedure during the surgery based on what they see, because no amount of X-rays or exams equate actually looking at the problem in person. This doctor is very personable, wise, and intelligent and for me, an answered prayer.
I recently had a toe fusion and bunion correction surgery. I did a lot of research for the Top Doc. to accommodate my needs when I found Dr. Rebecca Cerrato, Mercy Orthopedic Surgeon -Foot/Ankle Institute at Mercy. Dr. Cerrato is not only top in her field, but is one of a handful of Orthopedic Surgeons in the State of MD trained to perform minimally invasive bunion correction surgery provided you’re eligible as well. Dr. Cerrato is brilliant, extremely thorough, kind, compassionate, high energy and explains the details and expectations for pre & post surgery. I never felt rushed during my visit. I had a 45 minute wait to be seen for my first appointment, but it was totally worth it. I felt like I was only patient of the day! Her attending Physicians Team, Surgical coordinator & staff are extremely helpful, patient and friendly. All readily available and knowledgeable. This was my first experience as an Out Patient at the Foot/Ankle Institute at Mercy and it was fantastic! The surgical Team and OR Staff had a Team approach, checking in with me every 15-20mins post op while I waited for my procedure; which was running late. My husband wasn’t permitted to come in with me the day of the procedure due to COVID 19 protocol so it was incredibly comforting the OR Nurses & Team consistently checked in on me to ensure I was okay. They made me feel like I wasn’t alone. That I’m truly grateful for. It’s so easy to get in/out of this facility. I highly recommend investing $7 for Valet out front. When you walk in, Dr. Cerrato’s office is 50’ from the front door of facility-1st level. The surgical center is another 10’ feet from het office via an elevator down one level. All in-it was a great experience from start to finish. At almost 2weeks post op-I’m already out of the pain I endured for years thanks to Dr. Cerrato!
dr. Rebecca.... my compliments from Italy.. My name Antonio Cerrato 👋
My daughter, who is 14 years old now, had been suffering with pain in her foot for almost 4 years, she had been playing softball and doing gymnastics and she was crying after doing these activities, so we had to stop them, and all other activities. We started out with therapy, which didn't help at all, then we went to an orthopedic Dr and after xrays and MRI revealed no fractures, the Dr. put her in a soft cast, then a hard cast, but nothing was helping, they didn't see any fractures and just couldn't figure it out. Next we were sent to the Rheumatologist, we were treated there for a year, but still no relief. The sad thing in this was sometimes the Doctors were questioning my daughter's pain, even implying she may be making it up or saying it was getting better, but she would cry after the visits and just got more and more frustrated by their inability to help her. I don't question their trying to help, but not understanding my daughters pain and questioning if there was anything really wrong was certainly making us both upset. Trying to make them understand it wasn't getting any better was also very frustrating. Finally the Rheumatologist had another MRI done and thought there may be a hairline fracture, so he sent us back to the Orthopedic Dr. The Orthopedic Dr. looked at the MRI and said no there is no fracture and just said she doesn't know what to say. Next we were referred to Dr. Cerrato, at this point my daughter wanted nothing to do with any more doctors and was refusing to even meet with Dr. Cerrato, but being 13 at the time, that was not her choice, so we went to meet Dr. Cerrato. My daughter definitely came in with an attitude, but Dr. Cerrato was wonderful, very patient and kind to her, listening to her and very compassionate to her and what she had been going through. My daughter quickly understood and felt Dr, Cerrato was not arrogant and telling us what my daughter felt, but willing to listen to her. After looking over all of the notes and MRI's from the other doctors, Dr. Cerrato had a very good idea of what was causing the pain. She had a great plan to pinpoint exactly where the pain was and to make sure that was correct. After doing what she suggested it was verified as to where the pain was generated from. Dr. Cerrato met with us again and suggested surgery and my daughter felt comfortable with this and seemed to really trust Dr. Cerrato, as did I. Dr. Cerrato did the surgery and I am very happy to say, after 1 year, my daughter is feeling 100% better. Thanks to Dr. Cerrato, she is taking up some activities again that she hadn't been able to do for 4 years. I know this was a long review, but I really wanted to lay out the long adventure this has been and how Dr. Cerrato came to the rescue, when no one else could help.
I felt very confident with Dr Cerrato. My surgery had been a little over a year ago and the pain is significantly reduced. She informed me prior to surgery that she felt like she could take a lot of my pain away, but not all of it and she was right! I would highly recommend Dr Cerrato for anyone who has pain in the ankle area and needs surgery.
Dr. Cerrato is exactly what you want in a medical professional. She is knowledgeable, courteous, and caring; she explains everything in straightforward terms, and she is proactive and forthcoming explaining the conditions, treatment options, and overall expectations. It was unfortunate that I sustained my injury, but I was thankful I had Dr. Cerrato to help me through it. I highly recommend Dr. Cerrato.
