To begin, I know Dr. Brookland as a result of more than a "visit." I first met him in November 2017, to consult on treatment for prostate cancer. I have been a regular radiation oncology patient of Dr. Brookland's since April 2018. He is intelligent, kind, and very good at keeping me alive and healthy. Dr. Brookland takes the time to explain the status of what is going on medically, and then to discuss possible options for treatment and their potential outcomes over time. This is the most valuable information a cancer patient can receive; Dr. Brookland delivers it thoughtfully and with kindness and an optimistic outlook. I have the utmost trust in Dr. Brookland: he employs therapies that have worked for me, and he has reassured me and my family at every step of the way. He answers our questions. He takes the time to be with us "in the moment." We value every visit with him. The Cancer Center where he works is a delightful experience. It reflects Dr. Brookland.
