List of Seema Rao's Reviews
I've been a patient of Dr Rao for years and I have been very pleased with her service . She is very attentive and she put me in my place ( even If I don't want to hear it ) That's the doctor I need . Tough and firm :).. I can call her anytime during the day with any issues I may have; and she immediately responds. If she feels there may be an urgent matter she advises me to come in her office the same day and willing to fit me in between her appointments .
Hands-down the worst doctor I have ever seen. Very dismissive of health concerns, very rude, and she just seems like a miserable appointment. I take anxiety/depression medication and ran out... she let me go over a week without it, threatening she wouldn't refill without seeing me. THIS IS A MEDICATION YOU CANNOT MISS A DAY OF. She is an abomination of a doctor and should really learn to treat people. Bedside manor is atrocious and would not recommend her to my worst enemy.
I had my first appointment with Dr. Rao today and I must say that I am very impressed with her knowledge and care. Dr. Rao took her time to listen and understand the current state of my health and she exercised great empathy when I shared some of my difficulties. I did not feel rushed, judged, or misheard, which has often been the case in other doctors' offices. I would highly recommend Dr. Rao to my friends and family. Medicine as it should be.
I waited for several months to see Dr. Rao as my new general doctor and she is terrible at best. Asks the same questions multiple times, does not take you or your concerns seriously, asked me for test results I provided her six weeks ago, and seemed very absent minded during the entire appointment. Would not recommend.
Ive been a patient of Dr. Rao for 10+ years and have often found her to be dismissive of my health concerns. Most recently I called to see on a Thursday to see if she would call in a prescription for pain in my tooth & would see my dentistl the following Tuesday. Didn't want to have to sit in the emergency room over the weekend. I know, I know..drug abuse epidemic and blah-blah-blah. There is also 10 yrs of patient files that attest to me never asking 4 this. #JustWantsMy $25. #NewDr.!!!!
During a work related trip, I experienced severe vomiting & diarrhea. I was admitted to the ER & advised to visit my primary care physician when I returned home. I immediately made an appointment to see Dr. Rao. When I went to see her, I was still experiencing the symptoms. She was indifferent to my concerns. I had to request blood work! She called me & claimed I had Hepatitis. I got a 2nd opinion with blood work, which indicated I NEVER had Hepatitis. I would NOT recommend Dr. Rao to anyone!
Dr. Rao reminds me of the era when physicians would make house calls as my visits to her have always felt personal. She is so caring and attentive that I always feel cared for when i leave her office. She is thorough in her diagnosis and her expertise shows. I would recommend Dr. Rao to anyone.
I have been a patient for 2 yrs only because it has been convenient. I will not go back. I don't think she listens and can be so dismissive.
Very nonchalant & pretty unsympathetic towards my condition. I went to her when I was in a lot of pain & was told to simply take an Advil every day & go back to normal activities after a few days rest. After taking her advice, my pain worsened & I saw her again. She refused to send me for x-rays or an MRI to look further into the cause of my severe pain. I had to see another doctor to find out what was wrong & it required a lot of physical therapy. Do not go to her in an emergency situation.
I feel like the other reviewer, she pays less attention than she use to. It seems like I am a bother and that any symptoms I say to her that I'm being a baby. Will switch dr's soon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
