Dr.Gushchin is a unique medical professional with tons of knowledge, skills ,and experience in his field. I was lucky to find him during a very critical moment in my life, and he took time to listen to me and discuss all the possible options of treatment. He is attentive and caring, ready to answer all the questions that I have. He operated on me and did a great job. He visited me at the hospital after the surgery every day and found time to talk to me and cheer me up. Dr.Gushchin is a wonderful human being and an outstanding doctor. I am forever grateful to him and his team for the way they treated me at Mercy. Dr.Gushchin is simply the best.

Dr. Vadim Gushchin and staff were extremely thorough, compassionate and caring. The doctor went the extra step to be assured that all possibilities were considered. I felt confident and assured that we had chosen the right doctor. The doctor and his staff were exceptionally personable to put us at ease concerning our visit. Dr, Gushchin and his entire staff were wonderful. I would not hesitate to refer him to anyone who needs a surgical oncologist as he gave me the best care, and his staff made it so easy to get scheduled for surgery, as well as the initial and follow up visits.

I was referred to Dr Gushchin following several unsuccessful attempts to treat a squamous cell carcinoma. Dr. Gushchin and his associates restored my hope for successful treatment and provided excellent treatment. I am very thankful for his skillful care and kindness.

Dr. Gushchin diagnosed a tumor on my left thigh and removed it. During surgery, I had afibulation issue and he coordinated with cardiologist to have investigated further. During my post surgery appointment, he took the time to explain the process with me. His follow up, during which he explained the biopsy reports, was very thorough, and I did not feel rushed or afraid. His Physican Assistant, Megan, was very kind and caring during the required fluid aspiration. I would definitely recommend Dr. Vadim Gushchin. Ten stars if I could.

Dr Gushchin was recommended to my and I feel very lucky to have him as my surgeon. Communication and Compassion was excellent, and sometimes that’s hard to find in a Doctor. Everything was explained so I could understand and any questions i had were certainly answered. You can feel very confident to have him as your doctor.

Dr. Gushchin possesses superb surgical skills. I know this for a fact because very good doctors at well-known facilities have told me that the cytoreductive and HIPEC surgery he performed on me was amazing. As important as his skills and depth of knowledge, Dr. Gushchin is also a healer. In my experience, doctors may have great technical skills, yet not be particularly adept in the healing process. Dr. Gushchin brings confidence, concern and compassion to the equation, traits that heal as much as surgical expertise. I found his staff also has a profound commitment to excellence, which speaks volumes about Dr. Gushchin’s leadership. I have no reservations. If you need surgical oncology, you need Dr. Gushchin in your corner.

I was diagnosed with cancer that had spread throughout my abdomen. I was given a year to live. Dr. Gushchin and his team preformed HIPEC surgery and I'm now 6 years cancer free. He is absolutely amazing. I owe my life to him and Mercy Medical Center. God bless Dr. Gushchin and all that work with him.

A lot of doctors are technically skilled, as is Dr. Gushchin. The main reason I gave five stars was Dr. Gushchin's concern for my comfort before, during and after surgery. He spent time talking to everyone in preop. double checking to make sure things would be setup in a way that worked best for the procedure and for me. He was not overbearing or anything like that. But, he made sure everything and everyone was working together for my benefit.
