List of P. Sean Van Zijl's Reviews
From the moment I walked into the surgical center everyone was awesome. Dr. Van Zijl was great! and the staff just as great! Thank you for taking care of me!
I thought this doctor and his staff were stellar. He answered all my questions and explained concepts in an understandable manner. I didn’t feel rushed and I found him to be highly credible and a trusted expert.
If I could give a 0 I would! I intially saw Dr. Van Zijl in Oct 2020 for an issue urinating. Fast forward 7 months the problem worsed to the point where I couldn't go at all and saw my primary care physician and needed to get cathaterized, a sonogram and an RX. I saw Dr. Van Zijl a few days later. He had not received the sonogram results (which is on the primary care office). Without seeing the ...

Dr. van Zijl is the architect of my successful fight against prostate cancer. I became his patient in 2018. He guided me to an excellent surgeon to remove the cancerous gland. As I adjusted to life post surgery Dr. van Zijl prescribed physical therapy that resulted in immediate improvement in my quality of life. A a few months later my PSA made a slight increase. Dr. van Zijl sent me to CU’s radiation therapy center. The staff at the radiation therapy center were efficient, polite, and successful in treating me. Dr. van Zijl advise has bren my lifeline for more than 3 years. I have had several “undetectable” PSA test results for over a year. I was scared when I received my diagnosis over 3 years ago. I believe Dr. van Zijl, his colleagues and the Chesspeake Urology staff are saving lives.
Dont do it. This guy performed a vasectomy on me and 5 years later Im still in pain. Dont do it, don't mess with mother nature and her plumbing.

Racist doctors .
Really nice person who cares.
I absolutely love this doctor! I saw him for a kidney stone, and during my visit he was understanding and caring! He listens to any needs or concerns you might have during your visit.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
