List of Arnold Ravick's Reviews
I have seen Dr. Ravick for many years. He is always helpful, knowledgeable and sensitive. I have had many issues with both feet and he always has the answer. Unfortunately, you feet change over time, and tend to get worse. It can take time to adjust to new inserts, etc., but you just have to do it. If your feet are bothering you, Dr. Ravick is the one to go to.
I've been seeing Dr. Ravick for ~25 years. I've recommended him to at least 3 people who have become his long-time patients as well. He's performed a procedure in office and put up with my cursing as I hate needles and he's performed surgery in his Surg. Ctr. too. I made the mistake of going to my Orthopedist recently due to an insurance change, but he should really just stick to bones and leave the soft tissue damage to someone who really knows feet. Live and learn. There is no planet where I could envision why Dr. Ravick would not get 5 stars. Cut your losses and just go to Ravick. You know what they say, "an ounce of prevention."
This was the worst experience I have ever had with any doctor. After diagnosing a broken bone in my foot he egregiously overcharged me for an air cast (there are many comparable ones on Amazon) and had tried to have me keep coming back for "checkups" when he really just cut my nails, actually drawing blood and rushing out of the room at my final appointment (though I'm sure he'd gladly have me return). If you need a podiatrist I suggest you do your research and find someone reputable.
I went in for orthotics. Dr. Ravick never watched me stand or walk. Not when I came in to talk about orthotics and get my feet scanned, and not when I came to pick up my orthotics. When I asked if he would watch me walk to see if the orthotics fit properly, was told to schedule an appointment in 3 weeks if I have any issues. It just seems very standard to me that a podiatrist would watch how his patients stand and walk prior to ordering any kind of treatment for them.
I saw Dr. Ravick after another foot doctor messed-up a routine bunionectomy surgery I had done. I was very happy with the consultation and care I received from Dr. Ravick and have recommended him to friends.
Dr. Ravick made me feel so comfortable and at ease when I was in so much pain. He's smart, efficient, professional, and understanding. I will go back to him always and recommend him whenever. He knew exactly what I needed and helped me accordingly. Not to mention he is HILARIOUS and was laughing very much.
It is truly shameful how terrible I was treated by Dr. Ravick and his office following my visit! I initially made an appointment with his office because I was in need of a podiatrist for an issue I had that was not clearing up despite using different topical creams I had been given by another doctor. I had also visited another podiatrist in the same building a few years before and that was a very pleasant experience so I thought this would be the same, I was wrong! I started off by telling Dr. Ravick that I had this issue and had been given all types of creams to use that had not worked for me. I brought all of the creams with me to show him what has not worked- helpful you would think right?! I told him that I was prescribed a cream a few years back by another podiatrist in that building- and that worked for me, but at the time, I didn't have the name of it. I did however take steps before my appointment with Dr. Ravick's office to ask for my medical records from that previous doctor who gave me the effective cream. On the day of my appointment, my records were still in transit so we didn't have the name of that cream so that he could write me a prescription for that. Instead, Dr. Ravick, gave me a prescription for another cream and said that when the records arrived, he would take a look at the name of that medication and write me a prescription for that if I wanted. He gave me a few samples of the prescription that he wrote me that day and told me to try them to see what type of results I would get. Fine, I did that- I used the samples as he suggested and I wasn't seeing any changes. Not too long after my appointment, I received a call from the doctor's office saying that they now had the name of that cream that was effective, Ertaczo. They were able to electronically send the prescription to my pharmacy for me to get- That would have been fine. When I went to pick up the prescription I was told they had not ordered it yet since it was over $1000 and there was no generic available in the U.S. The pharmacist recommended that I contact the doctor who prescribed it to me to see if they had any coupons that could be used to help with the cost some or look online to see if there were any patient assistant programs or manufacturer coupons available. I did extensive research and found various coupons, none of which brought the cost down less than $900. When I contacted the doctor's office to see if they had any coupons, they told me they did not. I asked them if there were any generics available for sertaconazole (the main ingredient in the medicine) and the young lady on the phone said she would have Dr. Ravick call me back. When Dr. Ravick called me back, he was clearly annoyed with my questions. He felt his office went above and beyond to locate the name of the cream for me in the first place (WHICH THEY DID NO WORK, I REQUESTED THE RECORDS TO BE SENT TO THEM!) and noting that I had called their office several times with questions about the medication. He then hung up on me. I was so disgusted with his treatment of me when I am just trying to find an AFFORDABLE way of getting this medicine and paying $1000 is just not an option for me. After extensive research online, I found that there are generics in other countries and there are ordering mechanisms from reputable websites for these medications and prescriptions are required. I called the doctors office to just electronically send the prescription to the new company I found- and they wouldnt. The lady on the phone clearly seemed to understand my reason for wanting the prescription sent to the new drugstore but after checking with the doctor, he wanted me to come in for a follow up. IS HE KIDDING?! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO FOLLOW UP ON?! NOTHING CHANGED- He had no understanding that I as a patient am trying to find an affordable way to obtain a medication that I need! He was just looking to send me another bill- for doing absolutely nothing- not even answering a question without a rude response. WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO HIM, EVER!!!!!
What an efficient and excellent podiatrist - Dr. Arnold Ravick. I have gone to see Dr. Ravick (near Dupont Circle) in Washington DC about three times in the past 6 months. I had a stroke and so I suddenly had a hard time walking. It took Dr. Ravick a couple minutes to fix my foot each time I went in. I no longer have a problem. Dr. Ravick said we should wait and see if my foot starts to go back the way it was before the stroke, and it has. I didn't need any surgery or any thing else - only what he did in a couple minutes, with a band-aid. Thank you Dr. Ravick. You've made my life so much better. Dr. Arnold Ravick: 202-223-0500. I went to see Dr. Ravick after seeing another Podiatrist in the area for a second opinion. Wow. What a difference. While I did have to wait a while to see him, once I got back to the exam room I couldnt have been happier. He was SO attentive. He asked me questions and actually listened to my response. He carefully explained all my options since I didnt really want to have surgery. There was no pressure on me to do anything. He took x-rays in the office, which was so convenient, and called me that evening to go over the results. A follow up was scheduled for one week later, and I have been going to see him ever since! He made me custom orthotics which I desperately needed! My insurance did initially deny the claim, (even though they had initially quoted they would be covered), but the office staff there was awesome and filed a denial for me and eventually got my insurance to pay the balance! I would recommend him to anyone with serious foot issues!
Went to see Dr. Ravick about my bunions, which are at least moderate. Waited for a long time to be seen and when I was, he asked very few questions and never even touched my feet. Before even seeing any x-rays he told me what kind of surgery he would do. I got xrays but some of the view is obscured by my pant leg, which I had asked if I should roll up, and they said no. Seemed disinterested and bored. I won't be going back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
