Dr. Cannova is an etremely patient physician. Dr. Cannova explains what X Rays reveal & shows the pictures to you while explaining. Dr. Cannova is honest & caring about his patients. I'm Karen Palman and had an appointment with Dr. Cannova. I found the staff extremely helpful, Covid savvy, and knowledgeable. Dr. Cannova gave me confidence by talking over my knee X-rays with me, focusing on my pain, and then giving me a script for PT to help with the pain. This is the best approach for me, as I'm not ready for surgery. In my experience with other otho offices, I found this one to be the very bests. It was quite busy and the appointments were a bit behind but it was well the wait.

The office was well organized. Doctor Connova seems quite talented. I was surprised when he said he does 800 hip replacements a year! How can so many people need hip surgery? Wow. Right now I am scheduled to have a pacemaker inserted into my heart at Walter Reed-Bethesda on July 1, 2021. I will call the scheduling nurse after that. Meanwhile, I get around pretty well with a cain.

I met him for the first time a couple of weeks ago. He was strongly recommended by several people. I was seeking another opinion post my first failed left knee surgery, conducted by a different surgeon (August, 2020). Dr Cannova is professional, a good listener, and confident in his delivery, which I found comforting. He's honestly the fifth surgeon I've now seen, and I feel like I've finally found a surgeon who has initiative, & spends the time to assess my specific situation. He ordered an MRI right away, and had X-rays taken as well. I am hopeful that at the upcoming MRI review scheduled with him for next week, I will finally have a proper diagnosis and action plan in hand. I will update :).
