Ira DAVID Fisch's Online Review Report Card

Some of the comments I've read about Dr. Fisch have been kind of harsh.He's direct and gets to the point, the facts of the matter, quickly, but I've never took that as being harsh.Dr. Ira Fisch in my humble opinion is a great doctor. He definitely cares, and you can believe before he knocks on the door he's thoroughly reviewed your chart.With Dr. Fisch you're in good hands.Try not to confuse directness with harshness, he truly cares about your well-being and addressing your issues.

Go ahead and schedule a second opinion if you are seeing Dr. Fisch for lower back issues--especially if you are an active person who values physical activity as an important part of your life. During my shockingly brief appointment, Fisch diagnosed my lower back injury without an MRI (relying only on x-ray). He told me with definitive confidence that I had the back of "an 80 year-old man," and that I was essentially biding my time for an inevitable spinal fusion surgery--an expensive and risky procedure that often does more harm than good.Thankfully, I identified a second doctor who conducted a thorough examination (read: longer than Fisch's pushy 4 minutes) and ordered an MRI. Thanks to my competent new doctor, PT, and months of core strengthening, I have made a full and sustainable recovery and am back to playing basketball and working out.It seems like Fisch is skating by with an outdated understanding of back science / spinal health and considers patients with the indifference you shouldn't tolerate from a doctor. My new doctor literally laughed, and my PT was shocked when I told them Fisch's recommended approach to my very common condition. I'm also infuriated that he made such serious statements without first consulting an MRI.Anyway, this is a long one, but I hope you read it if you are considering seeing this doctor for a back injury. Don't hand your physical well-being off to a guy who doesn't seem to care.

My son, 11 years old, saw Dr. Fisch for a neck injury. The practice had an appointment in a timely manner. Dr. Fisch was informative, they took necessary x-rays on the spot and he reviewed them with us. He gave us a diagnosis and RX for PT. He was very good with kids and was just a nice genuine person that you could tell cared about his patients. I highly recommend this practice and doctor.

I only saw him for probably five minutes. He was in and out. Was not a good experience. I had to keep asking questions to get him to explain things. "What if I'm still feeling pain after x weeks," etc.

I tore the paper and decided never to see him again. Really disappointed, still in pain and have no clue what to do. Seeing another provider for other parts of my body. Was hit by a car and living daily in pain .

In addition to appearing very knowledgeable, his administration of the facet injection was very smooth. But perhaps an outstanding feature was his spending time with me, not appearing rushed and listened to my questions. Even came back to see me when we were finished. Very nice!
