List of Johns Hopkins Community Physicians's Reviews
Dr. Watkins is great. Johns Hopkins is horrible. I can't get an appointment for an annual physical until next July...11 months from now.
I've been going here for at least 10 years and have found the staff I've dealt with to be very competent and helpful and courteous.
Canceled my appointment that I had made almost 6 months earlier less than 2 hours prior to the visit saying that I was considered a new patient since I hadn't been there for 3 years and they weren't taking new patients. When I made the appointment, it had been less than 3 years. I had tried making an appointment in that 3 years but never followed thru since I didn't want to do a virtual visit. I received multiple reminders about the appointment leading up to the day of the visit so quite the surprise that they canceled on me. I had rearranged my entire schedule for the appointment. Zero stars!
They have the best Dr. Especially my Dr ,Dr Yang ,very compassionate and explain clearly what she needs you to understand ❤️the best .
I have no complaints about the actual appointments I had with Dr. Mosby Carillo. My issue is with trying to get my prescriptions. One required a prior authorization, and I tried for over a week to get it done which mainly seemed to simply require a signature. I called the office multiple times, and most of the team was very unhelpful, only telling me that the request was in and the doctor would get to it when she got to it. I asked if they could expedite my request given I was out of medication and was denied. So I ended up going several days without medication.
The doctors do not care to see you in person here! I told them that after refusing to see me for my cough for a month, I have been to urgent care twice, and the urgent care doc told me I need to see my doc, because my lung is still not clear. And they want me to have video appointment!!! This group of doctors do not have not shown any care for a patient, they just rely on the Hopkins name and ruins it!
It takes forever to get an appointment, and then they repeatedly cancel your appointments. Seriously, go somewhere else.
If you want any sickness to be dealt with on time, do not go to this facility. My kids had strep and I came down with symptoms, tried my chart, they refuse to give me in person appointment. Called the office, three people told me I'm the doc will send in a test request to labcorp. Waited all day, and three calls in, no one answered me. Until later in the afternoon the person on the phone said it will take 24 hours to answer and the doc told me to go to urgent care. What would I need a family doctor if I need to go to urgent care everyone for a cold?!!!!
Followed all the directions on line from them regarding COVID reporting because I wanted to know if I needed Paxlovid. ABSOUTELY NO adequate response after emailing and calling twice! Complete failure of this group.
It is absolutely impossible to get appointments with the doctors! Let me put it out there that you can’t schedule your annual check in a timely manner wit this horrid place unless one schedules it at least 12 months in advance! We have been with the practice for several years and the apathetic staff and a mess of their garbage system is not improving, in fact it is getting worse. On very few occasions when we actually needed to see a doctor we had to wait for several months! We end up going on all these occasions to the emergency clinics for medical care that did not take weeks and months of wait. Two years ago I have had an acute medical situation and the earliest I was able to see the doctor was a month after my phone call!!!! If you have the misfortune of having the physician leave the practice then the old patients are treated as " new patience" and you have to wait for another 6-8 months to "establish care"! an absolute irresponsible and and abusive behavior towards patients. On top of that they will set you up with the youngest GP in the practice. It is absolutely preposterous that a teaching medical institution such as Hopkins will call this abusive situation a standard of care! If you need to see a doctor within 3-6 month this is not a practice for you. This one does not treat patients as human beings.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
