The office is very clean. Making an appointment was easy. Dr. Nelson was very pleasant and easy to talk to. She made a lot of suggestions as to how to treat my back pain. She also ordered several X-rays. So far, all good. X-ray results came back quickly. I was able to see the results in the patient portal. But, not being a doctor I do not know what it means. Is my condition serious? No big deal? Doctor never got back to me. Contacted my referring physician and asked for his input. He said he reached out to her and told her to contact me. Still not heard, weeks later, from Dr. Nelson. Will now take my x-ray results to a doctor who completes the job.

Called me to talk in detail about my pain and what could be done. I was very grateful because I've been in severe chronic pain for 7 years and it's been a frustrating journey! I have yet to meet her in person, but I'm already happy with the time and care in her voice.

I had a very good experience. Completely opposite from the other reviewer. Dr. Nelson spent more than an hour with me reviewing my x-rays and MRI. She is very thorough and showed me to help me understand the notes in laymen's terms. But more than that, she addressed how tired a person can be when they experience chronic pain. She helped to give me hope. I am satisfied with the service. The front desk is nice, yet you have to do more paperwork because it's in the medstar system. I recommend Dr. Nelson.

Dr. Nelson was extremely rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. She did not take my symptoms seriously, instead treating me with skepticism and condescion. Additionally, she only provided me with a care plan after much prodding and pleading. It turns out I have a major spine issue — shown via the MRI that she was nearly refusing to order. Please stay away.

Don't expect a call back from the office if you have to leave a message. Dr. Nelson rushed through my first visit with her (she talked to me for three minutes) and then told me to expect a call from her scheduling department, which never came. I ended up having to call several times just to schedule a steroid shot - on the day of the shot itself, Dr. Nelson walked by me several times in the OR prep room because she didn't recognize me. Getting a prescription refilled is like pulling teeth.
