My job means I'm on the move all the time and spend extended periods overseas. Dr Portela is great: responsive, friendly and practicing in a centrally located office that offers everything you need in one place for a full physical. Highly recommended.

I saw Dr. Portela during my visit in Washington. My 15month old son got very sick and my hotel recommended to see her. The front desk lady wasn't the nicest and I had to wait 30min pass my appointment but Dr. Portela was worth the wait. She was super friendly, took her time with my son and just knew how to deal with little patients. She sang to my son and distracted him to check everything she needed to check. She diagnosed him with a specific viral infection and gave me great advice how to take care of him to lessen his pain. My son is doing much better today already and I believe Dr. Portela's compassion has something to do with it. I highly recommend her.
