Update: Although I like Dr Maruf very much and I think he is quite knowledgeable, since this practice is now part of Chesapeake Urology, it rare to get a call back, even when in pain. It is just about impossible to find a urologist who is not part of Chesapeake Urology anymore.

He is a good doctor, although he does not return messages even when extreme pain is in the message. I trust him as a physician , but it has taken he and his practice over 6 weeks and still no prior authorization for medication I need for pain of this condition. Office manager will not call back. Women who take notes and supply send to the doctor; the messages never get anywhere. I finally got a message to the"patient advocate". The practice is a nightmare.

I like Dr. Maruf and find him to be a very good doctor who takes the time to explain things. The only negative is that I usually wait 30+ minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Today I waited and hour and a half past my appointment time.

I love Dr. Maruf. He is kind and gentle. He cares about his patients. He has been my doctor for a long time and also took outstanding care of my father for many years. I will always be grateful to him for always being there when my father needed him. His staff is very kind and efficient.

I am very hard and differcult to treat with many issues he and other have always been great. I also want say that he is always looking forward to non meds or antibotics. I think he great.

Dr. Maruf removed an 8 mm kidney stone early 2016. He was professional and provided me with two options after it was clear I had a large stone that likely would not pass on its own. Though I had complications with the first procedure (not related to Dr. Maruf) becauase my ureter was too narrow and had to have a second procedure once the ureter was stretched, he was always calm and attentive. In the end, all went well and we are currently monitoring a second stone of nearly equal size. His staff was very professional and attentive.
