List of Nora Malaisrie's Reviews
Skilled surgeon. Incredible knowledge, top experience, and best sheer talent in an ENT or any doctor that I have seen for that matter. I have two children with nasal drainage problems, requiring one to have adenoids, the other tonsils removed. Surgery was only recommended after is was clear that there were more serious problems with each child. So professional, convenient and well equipped for single visit entire examination. There is no better ENT in the area in my opinion.
In 2013, Dr. Malaisrie treated my nasal polyps and performed surgery on my sinuses at Sibley Hospital. That was more than eight years ago. Since then, I have been symptom free. My sense of smell has completely returned. She is an excellent, capable physician who restored my health. I will always be grateful to her.
I explained a traumatic experience to her related to the reason for my visit and she laughed. This is a the most heartless reaction I have experienced and I would never go back to her again.
Doctor Malaisrie prescribed Levaquin for a sinus infection. Within a day had numbness in my foot. Came to learn how dangerous this drug is to tendons, etc. My internist was horrified. She didn't warn me about risks. Thank god I looked up side effects after numbness started. When I called, she said to stop the drug immediately. Bad medicine.
This is for the Feldman ENT office management that reviewed and affirmed acceptance of my daughter's primary & secondary insurance before scheduling her. When we arrived, we were told that because we have not the primary deductible, we could not be seen. The Germantown desk clerk who conveyed the news allowed me to speak to his supervisor who claimed to have tried to call me & that my line was dead. I showed the desk clerk that I had no missed calls. He called my phone and it rang properly. I blew my only window (I was also headed for anesthesia consult for my own surgery and had two following appointments for myself that same week) to have my daughter seen. I had already pulled my daughter out of school and drove from Silver Spring to Germantown, not to mention that my next appointment was in Baltimore. They did not try to apologize or show any care. The failure to try to call me left me motivated to write this post. I ended up 50 miles away from my next appointment and away from my computer where I could have been accessed other potential doctors. I had to call and have PDF lists emailed to me. My daughter returned to school unseen despite having a perforated septum. The doctors are ultimately responsible for their staff.
I saw the doctor for ten minutes in which she typed everything I said on a computer. She said there was nothing she could do but sent me a 300 dollar bill. Shame on her!
Very personable and knowledgeable. Easy to schedule an appointment.
It has been a while since I went to her, but she removed a lymph node in my neck. The surgery went very well, she made sure that I was comfortable with the procedure and talked me through the whole process. When it was finished, she was very prompt and efficient when I needed to swap my pain meds because they were making me sick. The lymph node was in my neck and four years later the scar isn't even visible. She did an excellent job. I'm not sure why there are so many poor reviews on her.
I saw Dr. Nora Malaisrie today for increasing pain and pressure in my ear, as I'm going out of town tomorrow. I would have liked if she introduced herself and spent a little more time with me. She did seem a bit rushed. However, she was very nice and understanding of my preference to have ear tubes (should my TMJ MRI come back negative and my orthodontist doesn't have any ideas on how to treat my problem) put in under general anesthesia.
I went to see her for the first time for my left ear hearing problem. I felt she was sort of angry on me for the reason I don't understand. I mentioned to her that I was feeling pain and pressure in my inner ear, but she insisted that the ear looks normal from outside. Her judgment was mostly based on the audiologist's report who examined me shortly beforehand. The audiologist's headset was not working well on one side (she had to swap the sides to be able to check both ears) and I could feel hearing on my left ear was not as clear as last year when I had the same test. However, the audiologist reported my both ears as normal. I am planning to see another doctor next week to find out about the pain and blockage in my left ear. I don't recommend Dr. Nora Malaisrie.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
