He’s the best!

Have gone to Doctor Fitzgibbons for a number of sports related issues with my hands and arms. Has resolved all of them without surgery. One of the best doctors I've ever worked with. Incredible bedside manner and just a great guy.

I fell off my bike and fractured my wrist. I didn’t know much, but the ER explained that I would need to go undergo surgery within the next few days. Dr. Fitzgibbons was able to provide prompt and effective care. The wrist surgery he performed restored my full function.

I received outstanding care from Dr. Fitzgibbons for an injury to my hand: diagnosis, antibiotics, minor hand surgery, and follow-ups. Further, the occupational therapist he recommended to continue treatment was top-of-the-line. I appreciated that, before undergoing the surgical procedure, he first tried to resolve the infection with antibiotics. I never felt rushed during my three visits to his office in Bethesda, MD, and his positive and upbeat personality were appreciated. The office is full-service, and a leather brace to protect the hand was made for me on-the-spot. Based on my experience, I'm pleased to recommend Dr. Fitzgibbons for medical service of the highest quality.

I have seen Dr peter Fitzgibbons for my trigger finger problem, he did surgery on my thumb,you can not even tell any sign of surgery. he is the best hand surgeon you can ever find, he really cares about his patient. god bless you Dr, you are the best

Dr. Peter Fitzgibbons impressed me with his phenomenal job all the way from diagnosis, to my hand surgery, to post-op follow-ups. He is very knowledgeable and skilled surgeon, real professional, with great ethics and a lot of patience. His staff is also superb - polite, prompt and attentive. Dr. Peter Fitzgibbons did a phenomenal job by successfully reconstructing my son’s arm broken into three pieces. He is very knowledgeable and experienced surgeon. He also has a great personality: caring, prompt, dedicated and very professional. He always takes time to explain things and answer questions in detail. His office staff is also very kind, dedicated and helpful. We are very thankful to have Dr. Fitzgibbons as our doctor during this challenging situation. Excellent job!

I visited Dr. Fitzgibbons several times over 6 years for separate issues. I was deeply impressed with how well he explains issues, and provides detailed care/recovery instructions. Very detailed, very informative,... simply exemplary physician. On one occasion, he followed up on one test result after business hours via phone - I felt humbled and deeply appreciative because I felt like I was taking up his well-deserved time off from work. Each time after seeing him, I never felt the need to go to another hand surgeon for a "second opinion". On the other hand, the staff at Germantown office is at times a bit sloppy and mixes up order of patients. On one occasion, I had to wait over an hour because staff "forgot" that I was in the waiting room. Nonetheless, I would gladly see Dr. Fitzgibbons again, because my health is important to me, and I am prepared to go to a good physician and wait as long as I need to to be seen, even in light of occasional inconveniences from staff.

Dr. Peter Fitzgibbons is a great orthopedic surgeon. He did a surgery on my thumb to repair ligaments. The is very thorough in explaining the issue and the procedure. He spent time explaining the whole procedure. He time I saw him, he made sure all my questions were answered. His office staff were quite efficient scheduling the surgery when that was needed. Surgery and recovery from surgery were followed by Physical Therapy. That went well too. I highly recommend Dr. Fitzgibbons and his practice for anyone that needs an orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Fitzgibbons performed a number of complex surgeries for me over the years. I will not consider anyone else if I should need hand or related surgery ever again. Not only is he medically genius and extremely competent, he is a really nice guy who takes the time to explain every detail before and after surgery.
