My name is Michael Lyles, Dr. Cory Walsh (of MMI/CAO Frederick, MD) did my knee replacement surgery on 4/24/25. He did all of my pre-op visits as well. Dr Walsh has the respect and patience that you would want a doctor to have…from start to finish 👍 He took his time explaining everything and answered all of my questions and then some. Excellent/Awesome doctor! I was referred to him by my coworkers and I will definitely refer him to anyone i come in contact with regarding orthopedic issues. Thank you Dr. Walsh! My therapist was responsive and professional but medicare was billed $562 dollars for a fabricated wrist brace that medicare and my secondary insurance denied. I was not informed of the overpriced device. In my opinion the brace should not have cost more than $20. I'm not sure why this company bills medicare at such a high rate for such a simple device. Be sure to ask what hidden costs this company bills for.

The provider spent about 90 seconds with me, said he thought I had a torn minuscus, said they rarely healed by themselves, and had me order an MRI. In the 10 days prior to the MRI date, my knee vastly improved, so I canceled the MRI. Saw my primary 2 weeks later for my physical & he said it usually cleared up on its own. Furthermore, the bill was processed as out of network & should have been in network. Plus, when I received my bill I also told them my insurance had a glitch. I called to be proactive; however, less than 2 weeks later I got a call from a COLLECTION AGENCY regarding this! Due to the cursory treatment and the rudeness and gall of the billing department, I'll NEVER set foot in their offices again!!!!!!!!

As many others have written the billing department is impossible--fhe bills make no sense--they can't explain them and get defensive and rude when you ask for an actual itemized bill for amounts they post on the "portal"....I have never dealt with a more unprofessional and incompetent billing department and so sadly I can no longer see doctors or physcial therapists at this practice even though i have been satisfied with them. The hassle and stress and time drain of trying to decipher their ridiculous billing system is just not worth it when I never have a similar experience with any other medical office. It's a shame the doctors don't intervene and insist on a complete overhaul of the system and employees as they are doing them a great disservice but I accept that it's not going to change so I am.

The doctors are amazing and a fantastic PT/OT department.

I called the Village Physical Therapy which is part of CAO in Woodbridge,VA today to cancel my appointment for Wednesday due to a personal emergency and work schedule , I was then told they had to cancel my next and also the following week, even though I would have had same therapist on the 23rd as this Wednesday. So I have cancelled all of them as it appears your staff is unwilling to work with me or accommodate my needs or schedule . It’s absolutely ridiculous to cancel all my appointments because this one was a re-eval when it could have been done on the 23rd when I saw my original therapist again. I have nothing against my therapists, but your clerical staff is sorely lacking and unhelpful.

Spoke with two different women in billing, I did not catch the 1st ones name however she was extremely rude and unprofessional...after explaining the reason why I was calling she asked me if I was upset because the doctor didn't "fix" my foot....what type of low level basic terminology is that?? She was obviously not in a good mood or didn't have enough patience to assist me so she quickly offered for me to speak to someone else....to my surprise the next person I spoke to name "Leslie" was extremely rude as well (probably because the 1st employee must've told her I didn't like tone/verbiage she was giving me) . I don't understand how either of these ppl can work in the medical field with this attitude and lack of knowledge. Leslie literally told me that her supervisor is no longer there (obviously im aware of that if I'm calling around closing time)...I was only trying to express my frustration in previously being told to leave my info with a supervisor & NEVER receiving the call back then proceeds to cut me off and arrogantly and say "I cant go drag her out the car"...long story short I CANT WAITTTTTT to speak with her supervisor and I will be filing a formal complaint as well. These people need to be trained on their customer service skills and learn to be more empathetic to patients. Visited Dr. Charles Mess, Jr. for a fractured toe back in September of 2022 at the Olney location....Dr. did not provide me with any treatment and advised me to let the broken toe heal on its own within 6 weeks. As of March 2023, my toe has NOT healed and I am able to hear cracking EVERYTIME I flex the toe which was not something I could do prior to the fracture...I have expressed the malpractice to several members of the billing several times who kept telling me that the bill I keep receiving will be taken care of, and that a supervisor would give me a call back. None of these things have happened so I wouldn't recommend this place at all to anyone!

Excellent organization to work with and for. Innovative and always focused on quality.

Slow to respond and transferred multiple times to a voicemail with no call back. My appointment was cancelled multiple times with no explanation. I could not get my insurance verified because the only person that could do it was on vacation. They charge a lot for very little service or relief . Unless you are desperate dont bother.

I recently had a multiple level fusion done on my neck by Dr. Lotfi. I could not recommend the practice in Woodbridge enough. Dr. Lotfi, his P.A. Mr. Safdari, and staff were very generous with their time over multiple visits leading up to my surgery. Dr. Lotfi explained everything clearly and answered any questions I had. The surgery was not stressful at all, and I was fully informed of the post-op limitations and expectations for recovery. Dr. Lotfi and his team provide best in class care and treatment options, and they have my whole-hearted endorsement and recommendation.
