I injured my hip and because I was not taking care of it properly, the hip injury turned into a bigger problem that included my thigh and knee. I couldn’t stand up, walk, or even sit down without pain - and even lying down wasn’t really comfortable. I went to Dr. Raffo at CAO, who had me get a couple X-rays and gave me a cortisone shot to stop the vicious cycle of muscle spasms in my thigh and hip. That made things about 50% better right away. Dr. Raffo instructed me on how to take care of myself properly and prescribed me physical therapy. The physical therapy has been helping a lot! I am almost completely recovered by now. I can sleep through the night. I can take walks. I feel like I came to the right place for my issues.

All of the staff is very professional and helpful. Especially Emily T. Explains all the exercises fully doesn’t mind if you ask questions gives suggestions for improving and gives encouragement. Very important when you are elderly. Also Colleen Emily Blair Dunni Liza and Kyra always welling to assist. Very patient they are great team players. So glad go I there for my therapy.

My name is Michael Lyles, Dr. Cory Walsh (of MMI/CAO Frederick, MD) did my knee replacement surgery on 4/24/25. He did all of my pre-op visits as well. Dr Walsh has the respect and patience that you would want a doctor to have…from start to finish 👍 He took his time explaining everything and answered all of my questions and then some. Excellent/Awesome doctor! I was referred to him by my coworkers and I will definitely refer him to anyone i come in contact with regarding orthopedic issues. Thank you Dr. Walsh! The PT and OT teams, led respectively by Easton and Steph, are the very best and they helped me through a number of problems ranging from severe tendonitis to post-surgery recovery. I trust them and they create a positive environment for you to recover and flourish.
