Yuri V. Prykupenko's Online Review Report Card

Kind, organized, and helpful nurse and front desk staff, almost no wait time, doctor was very considerate of my needs and concerns. Quick and straightforward online scheduling option (MyChart) with optimal communication of location, contact info, necessary patient information to submit, and appointment reminders. Their MyChart online system was also excellent for accessing appointment notes, prescriptions/pharmacy, referrals, and tests. They updated all of this info immediately after the appointment, which was great. Their office space was clean, easy to find, and conveniently located in Bethesda Row right next to many restaurants and stores. Doctor listened to the specific things that I wanted to address/attend to and was willing to discuss options and avenues with me. He took my history, needs, and preferences into consideration before determining my treatment plan. He was willing to answer all of my questions and did not rush the appointment.

It was terrible. It was my first and will be my last appointment with him. He is patronizing condescending and did not list to me at all. His disdain was palpable. I told him if the never ending itching and scratching problem that keeps me awake at night. He told me what I did not have and when I asked him what I had and what I should do, his response was “I don’t know, I am not God!” Stay away from this guy. He indeed is not God but could very well be the devil.

To me the most important aspects of going to a doctor are that a) the doctor is competent b) the staff is competent c) visits/appointments are quick and easy. Dr. Prikoupenko and his staff knock ALL of these criteria out of the park. Dr. Prikoupenko is not only very skilled and knowledgeable but extremely friendly and immediately makes you feel at ease. You can ask him anything with no judgement and he is straightforward and honest. I also love how easy it to is to make appointments, and that once you've made one he keeps his schedule (no waiting for hours in the waiting room), which is miraculous considering how he really takes his time with his patients. The cherry on the top are his awesome staff. They are SO sweet in addition to being highly professional (America is the best!). Love love love this office, I am so happy to have found a gynecologist I trust. Thank you Dr Yuri and staff!!

Dr. Yuri has been my doctor for years. I am comfortable with him with all my issues. I love the office team. He is very thorough as well as patient. And kind. He is one of the doctors that I ensure my health insurance covers.

Dr Yuri is as great as all the other reviews said!!! I am a survivor of extensive childhood sexual abuse and was very nervous about seeing a new doctor and a male doctor but I am so glad I listened to the reviews and chose Dr Yuri. He was kind and professional and made me feel very comfortable. He seemed incredibly competent and smart about health issues. Also, when I asked if I could be knocked out when I need to get my IUD changed bc it was so painful getting it inserted (by a different GYN) his answer was yes of course! And that there were many pain management options we could choose from to which I say thank GOD bc I could not go through the IUD procedure again while being awake. His nurse America is also super kind and amazing. I had brought my husband with me for the visit and he stayed in during the exam and he really liked Dr Yuri too and Dr Yuri was very comfortable with having him there. Also as an abuse survivor it was so helpful that there is a really pretty windchime hanging on the ceiling right where my eyes went to stare during my exam and it really helped to have that to focus on and it was very thoughtful of them to have it there. Also there was a little antique cabinet in the room which made it feel less gross than a regular office. And my Pap smear did not hurt at all and neither did the speculum - a first for both. So I totally recommend Dr Yuri and think you will really like him.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Prikoupenko to my family and friends. I have been a patient of his for a few years and have had only positive experiences. He is caring, knowledgeable, and an expert in his field.

Dr. Yuri Prikoupenko is an amazing doctor. Before him I had a 3 gynecology opinion. I wanted to get 4th opinion. With very high quality knowledge, he knows how to explain everything to his patient. He was the first doctor that said me I can help you with the medecine you do not need a surgery right now. Just take it and after 4 month you will see a result. I don't know which words to say about him and about his greatiest job, I just know that he will be my doctor for the rest of my life. Excellent Doctor! I am pediatrician and was referred by my PCP to see this doctor. I received a very professional advise and compassionate care during my visit to his practice. After this experience and since my gynecologist retired, I certainly decided to go for my follow-up visits to Dr Prikoupenko's practice. Staff girls in the office are very dedicated and pleasant.

From your entrance till the end the staff and Dr. Yuri were excellent. I definitely recommend this practice!!
