She’s great at her job. Her office was busy, but we were seen quickly and everyone was very kind.

I have been a patient of Dr. Smith’s for 7 years. I am adult but due to my condition she was referred to me as one of the best and she was. My surgery was a success, recovery went as she predicted. Yes the wait can be a little longer than desired at times and getting an appointment is normally a couple months out if not a follow up but She is a small practice and a surgeon so isn’t that to be expected she is only one person. I now send my son to her and I am confident in his diagnosis. She identified an issue that was not previously disclosed to us. She takes her time and makes sure you understand what she is saying. She also make sure you have a clear understanding of the treatment options. She is pleasant and knowledgeable.

Horrible bedside manner with kids. She has no patience and doesn’t know how to talk to kids. I don’t know how she works with them all day. The staff was friendly but the doctor was horrible, argumentative and looks and acts like she hates her job.

I will give below 1 star if l could! The office staff and the Dr don't seem to be happy..and l mean anytime anyday! What will it take for you guys to wear a smile? For goodness sake,you work with kids..how can u work like that? And hey,if you need an appointment, please call in atleast 2 to 3 months ahead...like it's a hospital serving thousands of people! Worse still,the frontdesk could really need some customer service training and learn to sympathize with people even when there's nothing you can do about their situation. Trust me,if there was a pediatric ophthalmologist around the bowie area,l would never come here. I went out to Fulton just to find another ophthalmologist for my kids. I hope another pediatric ophthalmologist moves into the area or at least within 10 miles to help people. This is just bad service. Please make a change..that is if this office cares about what reviews say!

God awful waiting times and to book an appointment it takes several months 2-3 months to be exact.

Dr. Smith-Marshall gave me a new lease on life. She did surgery to correct my eyes and I will never stop thanking her. Her staff is excellent and they give each person the personal care they deserve so if someone says they are slow, NO, they are thorough. I have developed a great relationship with her, not only is she a great surgeon, she is a great person. I had surgery as an adult and was very concerned but she took the time to explain everything and assured me what would happen and before surgery she came out to say hello and you can't find doctors who do that. If you need to have corrective eye surgery of any kind, entrust your precious eyes to her, she will take good care of you!

She is a pediatric ophthalmologist, but I see her as an adult for an eye muscle issue that has reemerged from my childhood. I've seen a couple other doctors for this issue, but she was the first to recommend a specific solution that has been working for me. Others didn't suggest her solution and sort of gave me the "live with it" approach. She suggested we try something, it's been working, and I'm grateful!

Ive been coming here for years with my son and have never had a bad experience. Sometimes the wait is a little long but there's plenty to do in the waiting room and movies playing too. My only complaint is from years ago, there was a very nasty impersonal receptionist but she's since been replaced. Will continue to come here to see Dr. Smith-Marshall.

We spent over 2 hours in this office. Kids crying coming out of the back room. Not a great experience for kids. Too much waiting around and slow service. We won't return.

Dr Smith-Marshall has been seeing my daughter since she was 3 years old. She has always been very patient and awesome with my daughter and even with my younger son when I have had to bring him along. I am sad to be moving and having to find a new specialist for my daughter.
