Impossible to get an appointment for surgery. Useless endeavor!!!

Being a professional dancer since I was 7, and working, at time, for the Royal Ballet London to producing, directing, and choreographing my own shows on cruise ships around the world , I was very worried that the profession I have worked for would end. Just end. Due to joint pain. BUT then I met Dr. Goral and he continues even today, 12SEP22 , with amazing previous hip procedures and now my knee today: my contracts are renewed— again. He is a kind person, fascinating, famous, but successful. If you have any concerns you may contact me directly. Please understand, his brilliance is well known, booking many many months in advance is mandatory . But afterwards he cares 24hours day.

I have had several visits to Dr Goral between 2015 and 2017 for AVN cause hip joint deterioration and pain. I was considered too young (39-41yo) to have hip replacement, so Dr. Goral tried his best to keep my natural hip as long as he could with steroid shots and I tried to persuade him to cut me open and take that painful thing out:) Finally, my cartilage wore off to the point when Dr. Goral agreed to do the surgery. All communication was clear before, during and after. On day number 3 after hip replacement I was already standing in the kitchen and cooking, and kept forgetting where my walker was, since walking on my own was already possible. I healed very well and wish I did not endure pain for 5 years overall after I got AVN due to prolonged prednisone treatment. Wonderful doctor, if I need to do any surgery like that (God forbid) I will definitely use Dr. Goral services.

Dr Goral performed my ACL repair in May 2016. I endured months of physical therapy after the surgery. It seemed that my knee was never getting better. I went back to him several months later asking for another scan of my knee. He refused only offered an x-ray. He told me that everything looked fine. I still suffered because I still could not straighten my knee and I could feel something moving around when I tried to walk. I fell one day walking down the stairs because I couldn't get my knee to properly extend. I went to a new orthopedic surgeon who did a give me a new scan only to be told that the repair was done improperly and bone fragments had been left in my knee.. That's why my knee cracks all of the time and a times I have to push my knee to straighten it when standing...I still have a lot of pain. I will have to have surgery again, but I can't have it right now. This situation has affected my life in a negative way. Very difficult trying to understand why this was done.

Dr. Goral took time to explain general anatomies of knees, discussed options to treat my problems, gave a comprehensive idea as to what can be done and what we will not know until we get there. I have not had such a doctor before.

Dr. Goral has a very nice manner about him and he is very good at what he does. He took the time to help me understand my condition and answered all of my questions. I would see him again if needed.

Every detail of the surgery was in place, on time. Everyone was highly professional and cheerful. Very good experience.

I had a great experience with Dr. Goral from day one through the post-surgery visits from a left hip replacement August 2021. He is conservative in his approach, thoroughly knowledgeable, answers questions very well, and a fantastic surgeon. Seven weeks post-op and I am free of restrictions and working on regaining full strength - pain free now. Dr. Goral is fantastic! Keep in mind that while he talks a blue streak, everything he says is full of important details.

Don't go to Dr. Goral for hip replacement surgery!!!! He's old so he only does the old posterior approach, cutting through your butt. This takes weeks and weeks to heal and you're on a walker and then cane. If you do the anterior approach (like the surgeons in Bethesda, from the front of your leg, the recovery is weeks earlier with total recovery in two weeks and you almost don't need a walker or a cane or PT. Surgeons now doing the anterior approach are doing them in out-patient surgery centers and you're home that afternoon! Goral is basically just a fast talker and you won't have to go to "Holy Cross."
