Dr. Pereles is awesome to work with. He comes in, listens to what is going on with you currently and develops a treatment plan in coordination with you. Best thing is even if your issue is not his speciality, he can refer youin house to ensure you get the appropriate care. I know my knees are in good hands.

Good diagnostician, gives multiple treatment options (none of which involved surgery!) allowing the patient to participate in their care. In my case, a brief round of NSAID medication did the trick. And he's got a great sense of humor.

I have seen Dr. Pereles for the past few years for sport- related injuries and knee osteoarthritis. I have been very satisfied with the results of his treatments. Unfortunately, my view of him has changed dramatically after a series of blunders for an Achilles tendon rupture I suffered few months ago. First, he was not able to properly diagnose/identify that I had a rupture Achilles tendon. Fortunately, this was notice by an attentive physical therapist working on my legs. I went back to Dr. Pereles who recommended a non-surgical treatment that included wearing a walking boot. I followed his advice and wear the boot for 5-weeks. Following this he performed a (final) physical evaluation of my Achilles tendon and indicated that I was 'ready to start physical therapy'. To my dismay the physical therapist indicated mentioned that my Achilles tendon did not heal (it was still rupture). I finally underwent surgery to repair my Achilles tendon by a competent surgeon few days ago.

He performed a (final) physical evaluation of my Achilles tendon (after 5 weeks of wearing the walking boot) )and indicated that I was "ready to start physical therapy". I went to the see the same physical therapist that saw me before and to my great surprise and dismay he mentioned that my Achilles tendon did not heal (it was still rupture) !. I finally went to see a competent orthopedic specialist that performed surgery on my affected Achilles tendon five days ago. Dr Pereles is fantastic. He exceeded my expectations both in terms of his professionalism and personable character, for the first time ever I didn’t feel like I’m on a factory production lane, which is what often happens with US doctors rushing through their patients. He took his time explaining the problem but kept the conversation light and simple enough, instilling a sense of trust and assurance that the issue is easily treatable. The appointment started on time, the staff was very polite and he solved my problem in under 20 min. Will definitely be staying on as a patient in future.
