Edwin Numsuwan's Online Review Report Card

I have been managing cervical and lumbar disc degeneration and pain for 33 years in Chicago and DC, so I have dealt with many providers: neuro and ortho surgeons, physical therapists, acupuncturists, masseuses, and spinal pain specialists. Dr. Numsuwan is the most rigorous, patient-educating of them all. He - and his MedStar colleague Dr. Faheem Sandhu, who replaced two of my cervical discs after 30 years of pain management - are real standouts in my book. Dr. Numsuwan's injections have been precise and effective, helping me stave off any more surgery for a long as possible.

Dr Numsuwan was Excellent! Professional, personable, informative, step by step instructions of procedure for relief of back pain. Assistant's Tempest & Eugenia were professional, kind, awesome bedside manner as well. Very sterile and relaxing, comfortable. Came in with pain level of "10". Left office with pain level of "0"! Dr. Numsuwan emulates the best qualities of MedStar. He is very very intelligent and takes the time to explain the nuances of a condition. I feel very fortunate to have him as a family resource for premier care and I wish all my doctors were on his level.

It’s 2022! The fact that he was merely tolerating me got more and more difficult for him to conceal with each visit. My insurance pays out the same premiums and I have the same co-pays as EVERY other patient but I was not treated with the same respect all of these wonderful reviewers are gushing over. Unless you fit his preferred demographic please save your hard earned money and the stress these types of interactions induce. The irony of him exhibiting this behavior shows an alarming mindset that if not addressed has very dangerous ramifications. There are excellent, non-discriminating doctors part of the Medstar family and at large. Be sure to find them. Do not tolerate discrimination one moment after you’ve identified it for what it is!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Numsuwan off and on since 2013 for lumbar back pain and I can unequivocally say he’s one of the best physicians in the DMV area in any specialty. His bedside manner is unparalleled - truly unbelievable. He’s polite and treats you like a peer, taking the time to (non-condescendingly) explain complex problems and procedures. His memory is another “Numsuwan Superpower” that’s always blown me away. Not only does he remember every procedure and treatment we’ve done but he also casually references seemingly mundane conversational tangents or details of my life that we’ve discussed years prior. He works with pain management and has a variety of “tools” in his arsenal to attempt to make your situation better. From structural evaluation, to high precision injection, to medication administration his breadth of treatment options is impressive. He’s highly knowledgable, highly skilled, and willing to think outside the box which make for a deadly trifecta.

I dont know what the 1 star was about. But, the experience I hve had with Dr. Numsawan has been the best. The doctor listen and is very receptive to the concerns of the patient. He proceed with a treatment plan that is beneficial to the patientl. The times I have had treatments with him they have been very successful. I am very happy with the doctor and would recommend him to anyone with muscle-skeletal problems.

I went to back to Medstar just to see Dr. Edwin Numsuwan, he is good I pray he leaves Medstar, I have now for good.

Dr. Numsuwan is patient and understanding. He is also very knowledgeable.

Dr. Numsuwan spent a considerable amount of time working with my orthopedist to assess and diagnose my case of Spinal Stenosis and disk problems. He has spent time speaking with me about my condition so that I am fully educated on treatment options and expectations. He is caring and understands how pain diabilitates the paitient physically and mentally.
