Informative, very knowledgeable and thorough. She cares so much

This was my consultation visit. She was very informative, answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable with her and trust her completely with my care.

I was referred to see Dr. O’Leary by my oncologist. My oncologist had learned from other surgeons in this field that Dr. O’Leary, “is an excellent surgeon and she is meticulous.” That is exactly what I needed to hear as I was weighing my options of lumpectomy v. BMX. Meeting Dr. O’Leary felt more like sitting with a friend who has a calm presence. She is an active listener and displays genuine compassion. Dr. O’Leary demonstrates a high level of respect for her patients by scheduling plenty of time to fully explain what is happening in the breast; in my case, why the cancer cells behave as they do and then proceeded to make the case for which option she would choose based on what was seen in imaging. By the end of the appointment, I felt qualified for medical school. Okay, not really—-but she is that thorough! I don’t feel worried about the agreed upon treatment plan for me. I feel confident to be moving forward in my cancer journey with the involvement of Dr. Eliz. O’Leary.

Dr. O’Leary cares about you and cares for you as a whole person.

Dr. O' Leary is extremely knowledgeable, personable and open-minded. Makes a difficult situation tolerable and explains everything well. You get the feeling that she is immediately concerned about you and will do everything to help you get well. Keeps up on newest treatments and encourages you to contact her group at any time.

My husband and I went in for our first visit. Just like any first time visit we expected just to tell her my problem and my history. From there we expected her to tell us what she thought and schedule some test she would like to do on me to try to find what is causing my issues. Instead we got a long appointment explaining how everything works. What maybe my issues. How my family’s health could contribute into mine. Than an exam. Which was painful but her and her staff made sure they could do what ever possible to help me through it. Then after I heard from both Dr. O’Leary and nurse Becky on results of other appointments I had and the results from those. They show that they really care about my problem and I am not just another patient to them. Which with my health history I am use to being just another number to a doctor.

Dr. O’Leary spent nearly 2 hours with me discussing my breast biopsy results and family history. She proactively requested blood tests and an MRI. Results for blood tests came the following day. MRI was scheduled within two days. Waiting for results.

My consultation went great and I appreciate that my questions were answered completely. She made me feel cared for!

My experience with Dr OLeary has been very warm and professional. She is a very knowledgeable person in her field of breast cancer and is able to explain the science in an easy to understand way.

Dr. O’Leary, her nursing support Becky and the whole team made my experience calming and actually enjoyable. She did excellent work with excellent results! I appreciated most was the pre- & post- op information and care provided that made this a seamless precision experience!
