Erika Schwartz's Online Review Report Card

After seeing 2 other podiatrists who wasted over a year with me in constant foot pain, I went to see Dr. Schwartz. She listened to me! She referred me to radiology immediately and within 2 days we had the correct answer!! We scheduled surgery immediately. I have been PAIN FREE since that day of surgery. Its been almost 2 years. (I thought I wrote this review over a year ago but better late than never.) I refer everyone to her when they have an issue with feet.

Dr. Schwartz was the first that gave me a reasonable option concerning seriously arthritic toe joint. She was clear, thoughtful, & knowledgable.

Schwartz was not friendly and was condescending when talking to the residents. She took care of my daughter and was not pleasant. We went to another podiatrist whom treated us with respect. Do not recommend.

I highly recommend Dr. Erika Schwartz! I went to Dr. Schwartz because I was experiencing pain on the under side of my foot but hadn't experienced an "incident" to obviously cause the trauma. Every time I visit (initial, follow-up with general treatment, and follow-up with specific treatment) I always get to see and talk to Dr. Schwartz. Appointments don't take too long, however, I'm never rushed, can ask as many questions as I need, and she explains everything is detail. She's extremely thorough and kind (which is a nice touch when you're experiencing pain or discomfort). When I called the office for my MRI results I received a call back from Dr. Schwartz within 5 minutes. I should also note how WONDERFUL the rest of the office is, from the front desk to the nurses. I've only visited the Wisconsin Ave office which is in a large office building with other practices. Parking is $5 for the first hour and I've never needed more than 1 hour.

I should have written a review for Dr. Schwartz years ago, but now I am moving out of the DC area and am so sad to not be able to see her anymore, I realized I at least owed her a glowing Yelp review. I first saw Dr. Schwartz in 2012 after experiencing some foot discomfort, and was diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma - a condition of swollen nerves in the foot. It explained some discomfort I had experienced for a while, and Dr. Schwartz explained all aspects of this condition to me very clearly. I had orthotics made and after that I only needed to see her when the neuromas would flare up - typically every couple of years. When they do flare up they require pretty quick attention, and I'm always amazed that I can usually get an appointment the next day - pretty much unheard of in DC doctors' offices. She has treated my flare-ups very well and I always feel total and complete trust in her - she is so thoughtful, informative, and just exudes an air of extreme competence. As a result, Dr. Schwartz has become one of my favorite doctors of any kind, and I'm considering making trips down from NYC to see her even after I move! :) Her office staff, especially the nursing staff, are also extremely nice, friendly, and helpful, and I'm always seen very promptly. It's just as great an experience as you can have at a doctor's office, and I highly, highly recommend Dr. Schwartz for all your podiatry needs.

Dr Schwartz is an incredible doctor. She is quite knowledgeable but explains everything to her patients so intelligibly. She treats our family members with great care, like no other doctor we've seen.

Probably the best physician I've been treated by in DC region. Knowledgeable, careful, and great at explaining everything.
