List of Frederick P. Smith's Reviews
warning; with this doctor it’s all about his ego and allegiance to the drug companies that give him payoffs. at least with me, he never explained my treatments options; the first meeting with him was him throwing prescription chits at me to treat my breast cancer case. I couldn’t say he lied to me; just didn’t tell the whole truth; I believe he withheld information from me from other doctor’s reports. Long story short; I am suffering from permanent alopecia due to the combination and doses of drugs he used. His attitude when that became apparent was dismissive and bullying. I believe I may have saved myself from becoming disabled and even more bald by firing him early. (not early enough unfortunately)
Dr. Smith is the most knowledgeable, thorough, and caring doctor I have ever had. He is up to date on the latest research. He successfully treated me for aggressive breast cancer with chemotherapy and biologics, advising surgery and radiation. His very kind manner and vast knowledge made me trust in him.
I absolutely recommend Dr. Smith! I feel very fortunate to have a strong team of doctors caring for my cancer treatment. Dr. Smith is always warm and welcoming as well as patient and respectful as we tried to work through "wrapping our heads around" my recovery. He didn't rush and was very respectful of my issues. I am grateful to have met him and look forward to working through my treatment with him. The technician was also very professional and comforting. Thanks Dr. Smith.
I first met Dr. Smith over 25 years ago when I was in my bed at Sibley Hospital waiting for the results of my bone scan. The Inspector General's Office of my agency was investigating the negligent care I received overseas and my surgeon told me that in my case all we could do was pray. Dr. Smith introduced himself, looked me in the eye and told me that he knew my story, understood how I felt, but that my prognosis was good and that I would be okay. He taught me not to panic and to proceed step by step, doing the necessary tests, evaluating the results, and choosing the best treatment based on the information available. When I was diagnosed for breast cancer for the second time seven years ago, I was relieved to know that Dr. Smith would be there for me again. He is an experienced clinician and researcher. He's a man of few words, but he is a compassionate and caring human being whose patients can be assured they will get the best care currently possible.
They are wonderful doctors and awesome nurses and staff! My experience is with Drs. Smith and Barr; they know their medicine and are very compassionate. Everybody in town knows and respects this highly talented group. The nurses and staff are detailed, caring and effective. Pressing button 13 on the elevator is sobering, but knowing the best care available awaits is comforting.
Dr. Smith has been treating me since l995 and he has made my life better ever since.
I came across a picture of myself 5 years ago before I met Dr Smith and compared it to what I look like today after his chemo treatments and arimidex. I have to say he and his nurses assured me that my hair would come back. unfortunately they didn’t say what it would come back AS. he is aware of my permanent hair loss and his attitude has been so what. After finding out how much he depends on big pharma for income am not so sure I received the best of care for myself.
when I went to him I was scared and all I wanted was to get through my cancer experience. he took advantage of that to the max. I was bullied into my treatment plan. I felt he was coy and withheld info from me I heard inconsistencies among the team that he lead. he shrugged and was rude and dismissive to me when I complained about problems with the drugs he pushed on me after chemo...hair loss that at this I believe is permanent for one. I feel as though I have been disfigured. when I found out how much he got in “ incentives” from the drug companies that made these terrible drugs I then realized that one’s treatment plan will be made from whatever will get his office the most money rather than what is best for the patient. that being said, since cancer is such big business, I wouldn’t trust a doctor who has drug salesmen constantly in and out of his office.
I was treated for breast cancer a few years back. I found him to be very insensitive and dismissive of my concerns during follow up treatment.. particularly I am living with permanent hair loss 4 years out. on one appointment he said, your hair never did come back did it? when I started to speak, he motioned me to shut and leave as my 12 minutes was up. I cannot trust him because I find him to be first a businessman, then maybe a healer.
Dr Smith is truly outstanding. His treatment of my wife’s aftercare is unparalleled—— a professional’s Professional! I give him my highest commendation——Judge Sullivan

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
