Dr. Miriam Mathai is wonderfully knowledgeable and caring!!! Her office staff is very helpful. The Retina Group of Washington had several offices located in the DMV. I and several members of my family have received excellent care throughout the years. CDP, Washington, D.C.

I suffered an eye emergency late on a Thursday evening and placed a call to the RGW emergency line. Dr. Mathai responded and was able to see me early the next morning at the Capitol Hill office. She examined me thoroughly, and her confidence, professionalism and compassion were a huge comfort in my situation. If the rating system allowed it, I would gladly go higher than 5 stars for Dr. Mathai!

Dr. Mathai is just awesome. She is always prepared for my appointment and she explains everything perfectly. She is very knowledgeable in her specialty and her explanations are easy to understand. I am very pleased I have recommended her to others

The staff was professional, courteous and thoughtful. Dr. Mathai was exceptional. She diagnosed an incurable disease and patiently explained every aspect and answered my questions. She also gave me hope that treatment might blunt the impact.

Good doctor (so far) - BAD OFFICE STAFF It was my first meeting with Dr. Mathai - overall, she took time, explained things, answered questions. She was also apologetic for the long wait I had. So far, so good, back in 6 months. My experience with the RGW OFFICE STAFF was not good AT ALL. I waited 2 hours (as did many others that day), they overbooked people, didn't communicate well, and I heard one of the receptionists say that "all the patients were giving her a headache"! If my next experience with the RGW office staff isn't radically better, I won't be going back.

Everyone I dealt with , in this office was efficient and caring, for what was to me a scary experience. Dr Mahai was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate when answering my numerous questions...I now understand my problem, and know what to expect for the future. Although eye injections are never going to be pleasant, I know I'm in good hands! Thank you Dr Mathai, and staff!

Definitely 1 of the best experiences in a doctor's office. The staff is very professional and pleasant. Dr. Mathai is great in explaining the details of the procedure. Am highly recommended The Retina Group of Washington.
