Currently on hold for over 35 minuets and still going- this is the regular wait every time I call. This is a reminder of my recent terrible sick visit and gives me the opportunity to also voice my main complaint, which I have been meaning to do: My son had congestion following a bad ear infection and a course of 10 day antibiotic use so just to be sure it wasn't recurring, I took him in to get checked. Dr. Taj Hadee was our doctor. She looked in my son's ears and told me that indeed he had another ear infection in his right ear and prescribes him another 10 day antibiotic and told me that the red bumbs on his legs were VIRAL RASH (which can be pretty serious)- I tried to explain to her that my husband had taken him out to dinner the night prior by the river and they both came back with mosquito bites- could it be that since he ONLY had them on his legs (which were the only area exposed at dinner) and no fever or any other symptoms? And she proceeded to tell me in a very definitive tone that NO, they were viral rash. Having pretty much raised my nieces and nephewes and seen a good number of viral rashes and considering Dr. Hadee's very uncaring, dismissive and quiet frankly, rude demeanor, I took him to get a second opinion from another doctor. Lo and behold, there was NO EAR INFECTION and indeed, the bumps were bug bites as confirmed by the doctor. I have these in my visit summary from the second doctor and willing to share with the management if they cared. Also, please note that this doctor made my son get a COVID test and noted in the visit summary as the reason: 'exposure to COVID', which he did not have and I never said that. In fact, I asked if it was necessary since he already had COVID about 6 months ago and had NO symptoms of it. It is a serious issue when your doctors are prescribing antibiotics unnecessarily to a 23 month old when we know the harms this cause to the baby along with the contributions to the bacteria getting stronger to antibiotics. Needless to say, my son was fine without any antibiotics and the bug bites went away in 2 days. It would behoove your business to really look into this to avoid bigger issues and misdiagnosis. It is incredibly appalling to me that this is the level of care our kids have to get at what's considered one of the best pediatric practices in the Washington, DC area. They do better in third world countries. It really is sad.

Dr. Bertha Koomson is the best. Very professional, patient and kind. The ladies at the front are excellent. Same with the ladies who takes the vitals as well.

Like others have commented, the providers are excellent and we're very happy with the care our son receives, but making an appointment is an exercise in endurance. The phone will just ring and ring and ring so you need to call multiple times throughout the day. I think I hit my breaking point this week. They cancelled our son's time-sensitive appointment the evening before with a promise to call and reschedule. When that didn't happen, I called several times until a person answered. After being placed on hold, I was told that they would need to call me back, which of course didn't happen. This is pretty much par for the course with CMG, which is a shame.

Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Appreciate the time taken to answer our questions and help put us at ease. Quick response to online inquiries. Highly recommended!

I adore the doctors here, but we'll be leaving the practice for one simple reason - it's extremely difficult to get through on the phone.

I only have a recommendation for the manager. Please do your business a favour and hold a few etiquette training classes for your staff! In some incidents I noticed that some of the staffs are very unprofessional (not all). They have not been trained how to treat the patients or behave professionally. I have never seen a medical staff slams the door on patients face until I visited Capitol Medical Group!

I'm a first time mom and finding a good pediatric office for my son was so important and I'm glad I chose capital medical group staff is very friendly scheduling is so easy and the doctors are amazing dr.Sandhu was amazing so sad he left but every doctor is great here they really care about their patients multiple calls to see how my son was after surgery. Thank you for what you do

Our family has been using CMG Pediatrics for about three years. They have good doctors, a patient portal, flexible options like virtual, before school walk-in, drive-through flu shots, and drive-up covid tests. They have a great weekly Covid newsletter too. The front desk has always been polite and professional too. We have been very pleased.

Capitol Medical Group is a superior medical practice. We feel so lucky to have them so close.
