On Sunday, May 8, a wonderful doctor at an urgent care personally called Dr. Bernstein to see me today, May 9. I've been to ER twice and they did nothing. The urgent care did what they could do. I called Dr. Bernstein's office to get an appt and was REFUSED an appt even though the Dr. said he would see me, all because I was on Medicaid/Aetna Better Health. They said I'm sorry. Unfortunately, Aetna has no orthopedist in network so I have to go out of network and get REFUSED. Since when is the almighty dollar vs. med care more important. So I will walk on my knees that are popping and swollen and my right foot swollen and bruised. Thanks for nothing. Not so fortunate people need help too

Very disappointed. I didn't get a diagnosis or any papers on what to do or any suggestions other than getting a cortisone shot and a prescription for the steroid. I took the steroid the doc gave me but still having a great deal of pain. I have never seen a specialist without a diagnosis or suggestion for losing weight or physical therapy or heat/ice or something. Seems no better than a mechanic. After I called telling them I was still in a lot of pain they said I can come back for the shot. Now why would I come back if you didn't help me in the first place. Very sad and reason why I NEVER go to doctors and NEVER trust doctors. They work for Wall Street sadly!! STILL IN PAIN AND NO RELIEF!!

Dr Bernstein is extremely personable, has top notch bedside manner and is widely recognized as among the most technically skilled orthopedic surgeons in the DC area. I was referred by my primary care doc, and I work in medicine. Whenever I’ve tell anyone who my Orthopedic Surgeon is, the universal response is “he’s the best!” I’ve seen him for two surgeries, most recently successful rotator cuff repair, and have been under his care for about 4 years.

Dr. Bernstein is awesome and I have recommended him to my friends! He does an excellent job explaining things in a concise manner that is easy to understand. He is very knowledgeable and I trust him.
