Dr. Bernstein is an excellent, caring a fully professional doctor. He’s performed two surgeries on me, a shoulder and a knee. Both went as smoothly as could be hoped for. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

I was seen quickly, the X-rays were taken promptly, and Dr. Bernstein came in shortly thereafter for our consultation. He is the best!

Dr. Bernstein Repaired my torn labrum. The surgical process was very smooth and his staff were very communicative during the process. He even called to check in himself on me and provided his information if I had questions. During my postop follow-up, he gave me a very detailed explanation of what he did, and answered all of my questions before I was even able to ask most of them. During my six week follow up, he was not rushed and took the time to answer every single one of my detailed questions to make sure I was doing everything to protect the surgical site.

My doctor thought I had a rotator cuff tear and referred me to Dr Bernstein. Dr Bernstein's practice, in the space of minutes of my arrival, x-rayed the shoulder. Dr Bernstein then came in, performed a series of diagnostic tests and determined that I was experiencing a "frozen shoulder." Dr Bernstein really knows what he's doing. His practice is efficient. And happily I have avoided surgery and I'm on the mend. Plus he seems like a really nice guy.

Will never return to Dr Bernstein- unfriendly,callous comments, rude and in a hurry. Office clean, nice, enough chairs. Parking a nightmare- always full- no validation.Parking attendant stood and blocked a line of us about 12 cars for 20 minutes even as we watched 30 cars exit- he had no explanation. Horrible person- nasty and abusive language to an older lady trying to get in at front of car line. Bernstein cocky, arrogant and terrible patient mannerism. Stay away fro him unless you are desperate.

I was pleased with the medical staff at the operation center who assisted Dr Bernstein in the procedure of operating on my shoulder (R). The facility was clean, staff welcoming and a well done procedure. I advised anyone looking for a excellent orthopedic Dr, check out Dr. Bernstein at center for advance orthopedic in Chevy chase. A place that provides excellent customer service and answers all questions pertaining to all joint injuries and more.Check it out. I guarantee you will be pleased with the service.

Excellent preoperative and postoperative evaluation and instructions. Dr Bernstein performed the operation on my knee and had me walking within a day without crutches. Highly recommended if you need surgery!!!
