Corteous staff and caring doctor. All questions were answered in depth, and the procedure fully explain.

Dr Rivera is the best doctor you could ever have, but the receptionists are the rudest group I have ever dealt with. I am considering changing doctors because I can’t get to him without going through the worst personnel ever. I have Type 1 diabetes and I have at least 4 specialists I have to visit quarterly, and none of the other doctors I call have the rude attitudes this group has. My mom has been dealing with them for years, but as long as we keep going there and no one taking responsibility for their actions, Nothing will change. So I guess I will have to leave a wonderful doctor because the group that is staffed there hasn’t been replaced and obviously no one cares about how they speak to people. And if it’s not the entire group, then figure out who answers the phone and is so nasty.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rivera for the past ten years, we met at Southern Maryland Hospital Center and he treated me for an eye infection. He has been the best Eye Doctor that a person could have as he is correctly treating me for for an previous Military Wound where others have FAILED.

someone at the office just hung up on me and I was trying to schedule an appt for surgery, I let another person know about my experience and she ignored how I was treated and said may I help you, dont use this facility

Dr Rivera and his staff went out of there way to make my experience as pleasant as possible. He was very professional and spent all the time I needed to answer all of my questions. My appointment was scheduled for 3PM on a Friday afternoon. Unfortunately I was going to be 45 minutes late. I called to reschedule but he told me that he would wait for me.

I called Dr. Rivera's office for my yearly follow-up appointment and was given one the following day at 11:00 am. I thought I was indeed fortunate to get an appt so quickly. I arrived and signed in. After verifying my information, I sat down, and 30 minutes later, I was still sitting and waiting. I went back to the desk to ask for another apt because to sit for 30 minutes without being called was unacceptable. I asked for a date where I would be the first appt. It happened to be about a month away, but I took it. A suggestion, establish a triage procedure so those that have to have their eyes dilated can be given the drops quickly, and their inevitable wait time can be spent productively. I know that doctors are busy and that things happen and appointments overlap, but I daresay that if I had shown up 30 minutes late for my appt, I would not have been seen. In summary, I'm just saying; respect the patient's time as well.
