List of Alpha T. Banks's Reviews
The worst customer I have ever experienced.
DO NOT GET YOUR CARE HERE. A TOTAL MESS OF AN OFFICE!A couple of pitiful stories to tell about this place, but that will take too long, so I’ll be brief and share one below. The staff is terribly unorganized and the doctor no longer cares about her patients. You will be told you didn’t make an appointment (this has happened twice to me and once to a previous referral a few years ago; (I was embarrassed). They abandon appointments and you will never get a call regarding why (??)You have to call countless times to try and get the doctor to call back.In the past, I was left sitting in an office full of people and Dr. Banks left. They do not update the patient portal like other doctor’s offices, so you never actually see your results.I had two colonoscopies and have never seen the results of either after asking many times. I was only verbally told my results.Office manager will not return your calls. My last (4 minute) call I had with Dr. Banks was cut short as she said she had to take another call (WHAT??) She MISSED my appointment on this day and when I called the office to inquire as I waited for 2 ½ hours for my scheduled appt, the office receptionist, Cynthia, told me Dr. Banks was behind on her patient’s. This was January 5th 2022. No apology after I left 3 emergency messages and she called hours later. She told me I didn’t see the link (Get your lies straight people). She told me the office would send me a link the next morning at 9:30 and hung up. My husband and I laughed as we knew that would NEVER happen and IT DIDN’T HAPPEN. Actually, I called the next morning and Cynthia told me they were closed. I am sick, but THANK GOD, I was not in a dire situation. We had been through this before with her office. She just said it to get me off the phone. BTW: I waited a three weeks for that scheduled appt with terrible symptoms and too afraid to go to emergency room due to Covid. My stupidity for staying as long as I did. There are too many good providers out here, you have better options. You have been warned. Good luck in your health care.
As a doctor who did my colonoscopies no problem. This review is for the office staff if there was a zero that's what it should be. The phone is never answered by the staff, i called office continuously for 2 months at least twice a week to pay my bill keep leaving messages with answering service. A bill was never sent to me but early October i received letter from collection agency . They sent me to collection agency and they are the ones who failed to do their job. The office is very unorganized always overbooked.
One of the many doctors to miss diagnose my gastritis (I ended up living with it for 4 years and getting hospitalized during covid bc of it) as soon as she heard I had a history of anxiety she dismissed all of my pain and suffering as just me being nervous and that it was normal. I was 90 pounds and I am a 21 year old 5’6” female. Nothing about that was normal. She refused to do more than maybe running a blood test that I had already gotten. Extremely irresponsible and borderline malpractice. I’m still trying to recover from this ordeal and will be for the foreseeable future thanks to doctors like this.
Dr. Banks herself is an amazing doctor she is so nice and listens. But the scheduling is horrible. I waited 2 hours and was not seen because I had to leave. No care for a patients time.
Excellent doctor. Facilities and staff for the procedure were great.

I love Dr. Banks however the office staff is not very efficient. When I was sick I placed a call then had to call 48 hours later because there was no return call. After that conversation with the office staff, I then received a personal call from Dr. Banks (just love her) and she went over my history because I had not seen her in a while. Dr. Banks advised an early colonoscopy and I would receive a call before the end of August to schedule from her office staff; this is almost then end of September and I am still waiting on the call to schedule a procedure Dr. Banks felt was needed. I will be having a gentle conversation with Dr. Banks as she is the important factor in my health not the office staff.
I LOVED HER!! First time appointment. Am planning to refer her to all of my friends and loved ones. Awesome personality, very sharp & knowledgeable. I know I am in good hands with her. Efficiently run operation. My Televisit felt like an old school "house call" or conversation with a trusted friend.
I have been going to Dr. Banks for at least 6 years. She performs my routinely scheduled colonoscopy. In addition, she has attended to some non routine issues that my body was experiencing. I have nothing but praises for the care I have always received. My husband shares my sentiment, as he too is her patient.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
