List of Andrew Liss's Reviews
Dr. Liss is a very straight forward and good doctor. What I appreciate in a Doctor when I need one. He keeps it simple but is thorough. I see some low star reviews due to poor bedside manner... For me, I am there for the foot/ankle expertise and not the jokes. 10 out of 10 in terms of foot/ankle stuff.
Saw D. Liss to shave callus on edge of right foot. He did a poor job and it is still there and still hurts .. Only went to see him because he was available now. BIG MISTAKE!!
Dr. Liss has very poor bedside manners. I felt rushed during my visit and left feeling shame regarding my feet and for how I was treated. He literally poked and prodded at my feet in the most inhumane manner possible. I was born with my condition and have seen 3 different podiatrists throughout my life. He may have some bias toward certain patients. The orthotics he made for me were horrible and I found more relief purchasing OTC orthotics to hold me over. Just an overall poor experience.
Dr Andrew Liss does not sugar coat anything about your foot/ankle issues and tells you how it is from the start - as it should be since this is quality of life we’re talking about. This is how I feel after seeing another podiatrist in the past. He directly answered all the questions I had about my foot concern in 30 minutes in the initial appointment, giving simple but very helpful solutions. The way he provides feedback is kind of a slap in the face wake up call - but hey, would you rather have that or another podiatrist figure it out with you over multiple appointments. In conclusion, Dr Liss is very experienced in this field and he knows what he’s talking about. Don’t get frustrated about how he’s delivering his concerns to you because then you’re missing the whole point of him directly providing quality service.
1st visit - painful hammertoes; took x-rays & prescribed stiff orthotics, which helped a lot. Cost $1200. 2nd visit - 1 yr later - severe pain middle of same foot. No X-ray or exam, diagnosed tendinitis & said stretch. Made new orthotics, this time soft soled at mid foot area - cost $1200. 3rd visit - 2 mos later - still in severe pain. After viewing X-ray, he was much more sympathetic. He said arthritis had changed dramatically since prior X-ray. He took back the new orthotics to have them adjusted. Newly adjusted orthotics made no difference. Ent to foot & ankle orthopedic surgeon, who also diagnosed severe mid foot arthritis, and said soft mid foot orthotics would be of no value to my feet. His assistant brought in a rigid and a semi-rigid plate that I could wear in my shoe to support arthritic area. Had me walk around & decide which I liked better. Went with semi-rigid. $25. Pain greatly improved within 10 days.
I searched Google to find a Podiatrist and this office was my first option. From the first call to the office speaking to the Receptionist to the Doctor, everyone was so warm, fuzzy, and professional. Dr. Liss gave me so much information, I did not have any questions for him. He offered options for me to consider and never tried to sway me into an otpion that would benefit himself. Love this office and I recommended my sister to this establishment who's looking for a Podiatrist.
This office is a complete joke. The doctor has a very bad bedside manner, is robotic, and my ingrown toenail was not resolved. He told me that it’s an “elective surgery” to remove if I have the money and that my nail will look deformed and I’ll need to commit 6-8 weeks soaking and gauzing “if it hurts bad enough”. Or go back to the salon and have them dig it out. First of all, THE DOCTOR NEEDS TO MAKE THAT DETERMINATION NOT THE PATIENT. Essentially he said get surgery or wait until it becomes infected. And “if I have the money?” Excuse me?! Second, ANY podiatrist or even primary care doctor should know very well that salons are not qualified to treat ingrown toenails so how can he recommend such a thing? That’s also borderline sexist. Adding to this, I was told I could call the billing office to resolve my issues and get a refund. They said they’d talk to the Columbia office. Within a day. It’s been 2 weeks and never got my money back for my unresolved case. Response to comment : Stop responding with that. It sounds like an automated response by a computer.

I found Dr Liss to be very efficient and got me relief for my foot pain immediately.
Tendonitis/bursits much better!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
