List of John JOSEPH Kishel's Reviews
Great service. Dr. Kishel was very responsive . If you are making an appointment use Option #4. The appointment option does not work properly causing frustration.
Dr Kishel and staff are always professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Always enjoy my experience when I have to come in for an appointment. Highly recommend this office.
This is redundant. I already did this once. Dr. Kishel is my hero and I totally appreciate him, his skills and his council.
Dr. John Kishel is insensitive and condescending. I have a bladder disease and I also get kidney stones. I have had both since my 20’s and I am now in my 50’s. In one instance Dr. Kishel told me I did NOT have a kidney stone when I did. I know my body and I know what a kidney stone feels like. I was in excruciating pain. I left his office and went straight to Howard County General Hospital. Diagnosis-Kidney stone. Dr. Bepple is like a robot. My bladder condition is very painful. I told the doctor my pain level was a 7 out of 10. She told me to should deal with it. I wasted two years with them. I will never go back. I’d almost rather suffer then be treated like that.
Outstanding service and very friendly staff!!! I've been a patient of Dr. Kishel for the past 9+ years.
I was diagnosed with a tumor in my bladder they refused me health care because of an old balance of 168.00 I told them I would bring $100 with me to my appointment... they still refused to make me an appointment...says a lot about what they think about thier patients
I went to Howard County General and found out I had a 6mm kidney stone. Dr. Kishel was the urologist assigned to my case. After my terrible experience with him, it was vindicating coming here and seeing that I wasn't crazy--stay away from this doctor. He is dismissive and uncaring and will not explain the choices he's making about your care. If you get assigned to him, ask lots of questions and don't be afraid to ask for another opinion. I think I spent longer in the hospital than I would have had to if I had a doctor that wasn't so short and terrible at explaining himself. Dr. Nezu in Columbia is nice. Good luck, and trust the way you feel when you choose a doctor.
My daughter has multiple large kidney stones, 1 being 6 mm. She has been in agony for weeks unable to work or function. She had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment after an emergency hospital visit to see De Kishel. He sent her home without ordering a ct scan and when she called the next day to say she was in terrible pain, he still did nothing and told her if she didn’t end up in the hospital, he’d see her today. Today he told her he couldn’t see her without a new ct scan and he couldn’t get her in for one without ins pre approval for 4 days. So she ended up in the hospital again to get a scan. After hours of waiting for the scan, once she got it, she called Dr Kishel to ask him to get the results and call her. We waited HOURS for the on call urologist Dr Nezu only to be told by the assessment dr that he wasn’t going to see her and she should make an appointment for the office. In the meantime, De Kishel went home and never even called my daughter back. TERRIBLE PATIENT CARE. Neither of these so called drs deserve that title.
Terrible service and receptionist are not friendly at all. Waited an hour for doctor that took only 5 minutes to check and had no concern for my health. He just passed me and told me have a nice day. Only the nurse that checked my blood pressure and weight was very nice! The receptionist and doctors don’t care for you at all. We come in their with our problems and then we have deal with people that have attitude and a doctor that could care less about your well being. Thanks a lot guys , I should have went somewhere where someone actually cares.
I’ve been with Dr Kishel for over 16 years. He’s been treating me for and doing yearly check ups on my bladder cancer and I have never had a bad experience with him. Outstanding doctor and a outstanding person.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
