Great Dr and staff.
This office is clearly “out for the money”. I’ve been treated here for back pain years ago (had several procedures here) and recently had newly emerging symptoms back in February so called and made an appointment and had to see Tamika Scott who is the CRNP as they will not allow you to see the actual doctor (Dr. Sudan). Long story short, they wanted me to get an MRI because the doctor will not treat me based on old images that I had done in 2022 even though I saw last saw him in 2023 for a procedure and he was using those same old images to target treatment. Of course, my insurance denied the MRI so I had to do 6 weeks of PT before I could get approved. So I completed the PT and went back and had to see Tamika Scott again and she gave me another MRI order to submit and it finally got approved. I called the office letting them know I got the results and wanted to schedule a procedure and the receptionist said that I would have to see the NP again to discuss a treatment plan then wait another two weeks to schedule a procedure as this is their process! I was infuriated by this so I asked for another option because I was in so much pain (and have been for months) and she said that she could transfer me to the medical assistant’s line and if they didn’t pick up then to leave a vm which I did and I have not heard back since and it’s been over a week! The fact that I have not been contacted since is incredibly disappointing! And why do I need another appointment to discuss a treatment plan when the MRI results have come back to show the problem area …and why can’t I meet with the actual doctor instead of the nurse! Time to move on….
Horrible experience; Dr Soudan doesn’t allow surgical patients to see him after procedure makes you see CRNP; He is definitely out for money 💰 money money. 0 starts
Excellent
The medical care at the Spine & Pain Center in Columbia, MD was superb.Very competent, caring doctor and other staff. Highly recommended.
The Spine Center is great. Dr. Soudan is personable and answers all questions in an understandable manner. Love the assistants. Very helpful.
Dr. Soudan, his assistant, nurse Brenda, anddddd the front desk receptionist! Exceptional customer service...better than all the other National Spine and Pain Centers I have ever went too. He really cares about this patients, have conversations to ease pain. I can tell they all really love their positions. Thank you all for what you do and will continue to do hugs to you all.
My experience was very good. The receptionist is nice respectful. I really like the doctor he seems to know what he's doing and talking about. He explained everything. Show me everything like. I really know what I'm looking at. But he made it simple.
I’ve always had a very good experience at the Spine Center in Columbia
*UPDATE * Long wait time only occurred once, the initial appointment when I was seen by Dr. Soudan. I never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to be seen for my subsequent monthly appointments with NP T. Todd. *ORIGINAL POST* Staff are professional courteous and helpful. Dr Soudan listened to all my concerns and ordered an MRI because of deteriorating prognosis over the past 6 weeks, something that my Orthopedic Surgeon overlooked. I really appreciate that he did that. Downside would be redundant outdated paperwork that needs to be streamlined and made available online only, and not both on paper and online. They give you 6 pages of paperwork to fill out initially when most of that information was already filled out online. Long wait time to be seen is another downside. My appointment was at 11:30 AM and I was seen at 1PM.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
