Horrible bedside manner, uses BMI which is severely outdated, body shames, and doesn’t take you seriously.
She's an amazing Doc who listens to your concern and advises you accordingly! The office is set up quite nicely and the front staff is friendly as well. Just make sure to know what you have to ask the doc before you head on over to meet her.
I did not have a good experience with this provider. I made is very clear in my appointment that I needed results for my physical at the latest the end of the week. My appointment was Monday. These are routine physical labs that I needed. Not until the end of the day 3 days later via phone not myChart was I notified that the reason was because the incorrect test was ordered and the results would not be posted until that result came back. I was told that "unusual" tests can take "a while longer" which was not mentioned in my appointment to say the least. While I was on hold the representative contacted Labcorp and almost magically my results were available. Call the patient after you have contacted Labcorp to verify results status instead of wasting a patient's time putting them on hold. My time is valuable and they did not treat it as such. To my assessment, Dr. Cheema is uncomfortable discussing and managing mental health. I have had the pleasure of other PCPs in Maryland before my insurance change other than her that have been more than happy to discuss and manage mental health considering the strain mental healthcare providers have recently endured because of the pandemic. She is also incredibly patronizing. She is young as am I but I still think I have been in healthcare longer than she has been a physician. I needed a vaccination and the office told me I could leave and then called me back because they forgot to administer my vaccine. If a patient needs routine screening, it is paramount to order the fastest resulting labs and ultimately do not assume that a patient's time is less valuable than your own. Patient-centered care is not a priority at this office.
Dr.cheema is a excellent doctor, I can say she honestly care and she has a great memory. The staff is very friendly and professional
Dr . Cheema is a very caring doctor . I have always found that she takes her time and explains any concerns that I may have . The year has been full of challenges due to the COVID virus., Dr Cheema continued her in person appointments. The staff is professional and always such a pleasure , great attitudes and follows all safety standards for COVID . I feel very fortunate that I have this wonderful doctor and her delightful staff.
My dad had a movement disorder similar to Parkinson's. First, Dr. Cheema insisted that he come to the office each month even though he couldn't stand or walk and had to be lifted into the car and wheelchair. They did this because Medicare only pays them if the patient comes to the office. If the patient has to be seen at home with home care, Medicare "dings" the doctor"s office. So rather than do what was best for my dad and us, they forced him to make an arduous trip there repeatedly. Second, they denied my father services such as nursing and physi cal therapy because the third party Medicare company, Freedom, "dings" them for these home services, as they cost the company money. The Medicare laws are very clear that terminally ill patients can't be denied needed services just because they are terminally ill. However, this doctors office will refuse to even submit a request to Freedom or other Medicare companies because they say it will be denied. The truth is, it's not legally deniable, they Just don't want to get a bad mark from Freedom for running up their costs.. Th research is clear about the benefit of physical therapy when a person has a movement disorder like my dad's. But the insurance companies pressure the doctors because they don't want to pay for it at home.. Dr Cheema did what was best for her business even though it meant denying my dad services he was entitled to. He needed speech therapy too because he was losing his voice, and he needed a nurse to visit him at home because he had trouble breathing and eliminating and swallowing. Again, dr. Cheema would not even submit the request for authorization. Third, the office rarely returned my calls and took more than 2 days when they Did. Fourth, dr. Cheema told my dad to go to a nursing home. My dad wanted to be at home and cared for by his wife and daughter who were more than willing to. We just couldnt provide the nursing and specialized services. However, again, dr cheema was not interested in what was best for my dad, just what was best for her "business." She is a sell out and a coward amd it's disgusting how she can dismiss the well being of patients to make herself look good with the insurance companies. Stay away if you have more than a cold and expect your doctors to put your medical needs first.
I would NEVER recommend Dr. Ayesha Cheema to anyone looking for a DOCTOR. However, if you're looking for a Business Person that is willing to give you only 15 minutes of her time, then this is your person! Does she listen to you and take you serious? NO Does she care? NO When you call to cancel your last appointment, even the office personnel doesn't even ask why. That should tell you something.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
