List of John P. Ohearn's Reviews
Dr. O’Hearn recently performed carpal tunnel surgery on both of my wrists. Everything went great, and he answered any questions or concerns I had during follow-up visits. His office staff was extremely helpful and caring. Highly recommend
Dr. OHearn is very thorough. He is an expert in the field, and he is very clear telling you what you need to do to heal and the avoid further damage. I and my children have seen him.
Military member diagnosed with carpal tunnel in both wrists. Dr. O'hearn had me in to get surgery within a couple weeks, spaced them out so I could still work while each wrist was recovering. The surgery was simple, had minor pain that comes with the surgery and healing. Went through PT. I cannot recommend him enough. He worked with me to ensure I had proper documents needed for work, was honest and upfront about recovery process, and gave me all the details needed. Before, I had terrible pains doing any kind of weight lifting (from simple grocery bags to weights at the gym). I'm still in recovery period, so there is some slight pain where the surgery took place, but it is nowhere near the pain I felt from the carpal tunnel (I'm even able to do push-ups again just 3 months after surgery) HIGHLY recommend Dr. O'Hearn. Him and his staff are wonderful and caring, and they get you in and out!
My appointment only lasted like five minutes because all he did was push on the painful spots and then tell me I need further treatment. I did not like him will see him through, but will never go back after this is cleared up. He is not personable he is not friendly, and I do not recommend.
Dr. John O'Hearn is a caring, compassionate, and thoroughly competent orthopaedic surgeon. He repaired my diseased tendon, and my recovery was fast and complete, thanks in part to the use of LipoGems. I have healed completely and have returned to power walking, yoga classes and dancing without anymore pain and discomfort. I highly recommend Dr. O'Hearn!!
I couldn’t be more pleased with my Lipogem results. I’m only five months post surgery and back to doing what I love , which is also the reason I needed the procedure in the first place😅 Skateboarding at 50 has its challenges and rewards and I’m so grateful to Dr. O’Hearn and his team for getting me back on board. 💪🏼🙏🏽💪🏼
I cannot recommend this practice. I have suffered with a number of musculoskeletal injuries for two years. I was interested in Dr. O'Hearn's practice due to some of the alternate treatment options he offers like PRP, Lipogems, TenJets, etc. as traditional treatment options and PT have not helped me to date. I came in with a very detailed written history of all of my issues and my treatments to date. He barely looked at what I provided. He also refused to discuss all of my concerns, wanted to take X-rays, despite the fact that I had MRIs and X-rays done recently, and did the most minimal examine I have ever experienced. He also only looked at the MRI reports of my feet, despite the fact that I had MRIs to support my many different complaints, and never looked at the MRI images which every good doctor I have seen does. I left with no diagnosis and was told to go back to my previous doctors for treatment. He spent more time talking about his own weight lifting than trying to understand my health issues and help me. He kept asking me what hurts the most, as if that was the only thing he was willing to discuss and dismissed the fact that various different parts of the body can impact others. At one point, he told me I had a "vivid imagination" when I tried to point out a painful area where I feel large muscle knots. Funny, that my chiropractor who does dry needling can feel them but Dr. O'Hearn could not. He talked me into buying a $112 compression leg sleeve, which when I got home and opened, had clearly been used before, as it had multiple pulls and picks in it! 100% unacceptable. Save your self the trouble and find a good ortho who will listen to you. Clearly if you are not a straightforward case, Dr. O'Hearn is not willing to take the time to try to understand and help you heal. I cannot tell you how much I regret taking the time and spending the money to see this doctor.
Was glad doctor was honest about his capacities but didn't appreciate the attitude or lack of suggestions/assist with pain level. Doctor is extremely knowledgable
Extremely knowledgable. Has a preference for lipogem treatment. Almost felt guilty having all the diagnosis's I have currently. Doctor is aware of his own capabilities. Staff was excellant
Dr. O'Hearn and his staff took very good care of me before, during, and after surgery. All my questions were answered, and my surgery / recovery was better than I expected which I believe to be the result of using Lipo Gems. I started physical therapy along with another woman who had the same surgery (without Lipo Gems, with another Dr. other than Dr. O'Hearn), and I progressed at a much faster rate than she did. When I'm ready for my next surgery, I will call Dr. O'Hearn and ask for Lipo Gems again!! I highly recommend Dr. O'Hearn and his staff for your orthopedic needs. UPDATE Aug 2022: It's been 14 months since my surgery and I have no pain, and I'm back to my normal range of motion. And, my three little puncture hole scars are all but disappeared. I couldn't have asked for more!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
