I have seen many doctors in my life time. But, Dr. Afrookteh takes the time to listen to his patients. He isn't a quick 10 minutes and see you next time type of doctor. His office and waiting area is always well groom and taken care of. The staff is kind and considerate at all times. If you get nervous like I do about getting blood taken; the do it gently and I have no black and blue scars after the fact. This is one doctor who is so compassionate about his patients that I have remained a patient of his since 1989. Sometimes I have to drive 2 hours to get to his office. But, he is amazing and worth the time, money.

Dr. Martha Pierce and her staff have become an invaluable resource to me in my 3 years with the practice. The level of care you can get at this practice is unlike any other, and it is affordable particularly if you have out of network benefits with your insurance. If you or a loved one are facing any complex medical condition, your care and health will be drastically improved by joining this practice.

I like being seen when I call for an appointment!! Dr. Afrookteh is always upfront, reliable, and anxious to help his patients. I have been his patient since he first arrived to take Dr. Chase's place in his former practice. I highly recommend his expertise, professional approach, and interest in his patients.,

The best in all aspects. Concierge medicine a new and somewhat costly concept. We have found the personalized approach refreshing. There is no limitations on time to meet quotas every hour. Great and efficient team. Not unusual for the MD to give NB a follow-up phone but call. Highly recommend. Dr. Afrookteh our primary care for over 20 years. Highly respected by his peers.

As a psychologist I value a physician who is highly competent and relational. Dr. Afrookteh is both and I couldn't more highly recommend his care.

Although I was a patient of Dr. Afrookteh's for over 20 years and I personally like him, he missed an important diagnoisis while I was in his care. I have Parathyroid disease and even complained to him for over 5 yrs. of the symptoms. Only after switching Drs. last yr and she ran more tests did I find out. I had a TUMOR the size of a walnut in my neck. Women, BEWARE. It was only 1 extra test he could have done to diagnose this disease and he missed it. He kind of ignored all my symptoms and made me feel like I was at fault somehow or maybe just a complainer.

Dr. Afrookteh is a brilliant, thoughtful doctor who looks for connections between conditions. I feel reassured that someone is looking out for my health when I interact with him. Further, his nurse practitioner Judy is outstanding, and the entire staff work as one to provide efficient service. The prctice is quite a team.

I had been a patient of this Dr. for 20+ years. 3 years ago I had a physical and blood work -- My calcium levels were high and I had major fatigue, panic attacks and other thyroid symptoms. Dr. Afrookteh did not do further analysis of the high calcium levels. I finally decided to change Drs. this year b/c I wanted to find out what in the world I had. My new Dr. did a PTH test due to my symptoms and high calcium levels and it turns out I have Parathyroid Disease. This is serious and matches all the symptoms I have had for about 4 yrs. As much as I like Dr. Afrookteh personally, I am really disappointed in him professionally for not testing me for Parathyroid Disease.

I was one of Dr. Afrookteh's first patients when he came to Frederick over 20 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. He listens carefully and onsequently is an excellent diagnostician. Prescription medication use is appropriate. Although not necessary, Dr. Afrookteh also has a highly developed sense of humor. What more can a person ask for in a doctor?
