Update January 2024 - continue to be very happy with the care provided by Dr. Villanueva, and the entire staff at Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal. Dr. Villanueva has been treating me for over a year and always has time for me when I ask questions, reviews current health status and provides clear next steps. Would also like to mention that all staff are friendly, professional, and excellent at their job. Dr. Villanueva has been great - provides a good explanation of the issues - options and also provides next steps. Very happy with the care provided by Dr. Villanueva.

Not only did I feel unheard, Dr. Villanueva treated me as though I was actually insane. I run a medical practice myself, working in the field for greater than 25 years, and have never experienced such treatment. It took me a long time to finally look for help for what's been going on with my body in fear I would 'sound' crazy. His condescending tones and questions reinforced my fears. I couldn't even keep my follow up appointment based on how he treated me. One star (since it can't be less) is for his front desk, who were kind and helpful. I hope he treats them better than his patients.

Dr Villanueva listened to me and asked many questions about my past health issues. He provided me with good information the medication I am on for my arthritis. Very grateful for his advice.

Dr. Villanueva, his nurse, and all of the staff at this office are nothing short of amazing! I am always taken back right on time or shortly there after. This past visit I was actually in and out before my appointment time was even supposed to begin. They are always so helpful and kind throughout my visits and even phone conversations when I need to call in. I have and will continue to recommend this office to anyone in search of an exceptional care. Thank you all for what you do for not only me but all other patients of this practice.

I always get excellent patient care from Dr. Villanueva and outstanding customer service from the staff at MMI/CAO at the 86 Thomas Johnson Court location in Frederick, Maryland.

No one notified me that my original appointment was cancelled and I received a call while I was on my way to appointment to reschedule it. Very very bad patient consideration and practice. The MA that brought me back on the day of my rescheduled appointment was very nice and understanding. Dr is very abrupt. I am not one to try to get meds or "have to havea condition" so when I answer his question about pain he says there is no inflammation that day. He appears to not care.

Dr. Villanueva studies the results of blood tests and urinalysis to determine my specific diagnosis. He clearly explains the results of my tests to me in a kind and professional manner. He prescribes my medications as appropriate. He sincerely cares for my health.

Doctor Villanueva has been a honest helpful doctor, my experience with him has been really good! 👍🏻 sometimes we only give good reviews when we want doctors to tell us what we want to hear, or we want them to do what we want this is not the case. Doctor Villanueva is a straightforward serious doctor and I like him for that. Have your doctor refer you to someone else! Had 2 appointments with him. Very rude the second he walked into the room. Didn’t want to give me the time of day and would completely interrupt me when explaining my symptoms. Forgot everything he did the first appointment I had with him which makes me believe he didn’t take notes because he simply didn’t care.
