List of Frederick Primary Care Associates's Reviews
If you like being talked down and hectored to by smarmy nurses and nurse practitioners, then this is the place for you. The staff is nice at 56 Thomas Johnson Drive but they have cumbersome and redundant check-ins and paperwork at every office. They're more interested in box-checking than patient care. Given the way some nurse practitioners treat their patients, I can just imagine how toxic that place is to work for staff. The VA is more respectful and efficient.
I was appalled at the rudeness of the lady at the reception who took my call for the first two times. When I called them for the first time, she started giving me a lesson on how to pronounce Dr. Bhatnagar's name. Since I come from the same land as the doctor does, I believe I know the correct pronunciation. Nevertheless, I tried to be patient with her. Yet, she continued to be curt and rude and even disconnected my call without scheduling my appointment. When I called for the second time, she received the call and placed the receiver aside. I could distinctly hear their conversation in the background. I had to call for a third time and thankfully it landed at someone else's desk. We had a cordial conversation and I got the appointment. Although I appreciate the lady who helped me schedule the appointment, the whole experience has left me with a sour taste. The other lady is definitely undermining all the great efforts of her peers. Sigh!
I have been a patient of this practice since 1982. I never never me a better more compassionate Dr than Dr Ashwal. He goes way beyond to make you fell he truly cares as if you were family. His nurse are the best. I wouldn't trust my health or my families to anyone else.
DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE!!! This is the worst PCP in Maryland. The doctors will scam you for anything your insurance will pay for and if you try and address the issue they will drop you as a patient. DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE!! Dr. Bhatnagar is absolutely human garbage
The 2 times I've called to make an appointment the receptionist is rude and unwelcoming. Its a shame because the doctor I saw prior was very nice.
I have been a patient for 33 years and the care has always been first rate
Great level of care, speedy and attentive service. Megan was awesome. Would definitely recommend FPCA
I have been a patient of FPCA for about 3 years. Just recently became a patient of Dr. Fisher and couldn't be happier. He and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. The office visit is timely, questions are answered and sound advice is given during the visit.
I have been going to this practice at 56TJ for years and have always found the staff helpful and courteous. Doctors, PAs and Nurses are exceptional. With Covid I tried the new Virtual Visit and loved it. Of course in person is better (they can't view your throat from your computer or phone), but all in all I got the answers and help I needed without fear of illness. Thank you 56TJ for all your hard work and professionalism.
Dr.Hundemer was highly recommended by a work colleague who like me, likes doctors who listen and work with the patient to find solutions to healthy paths forward...not to sound like a brochure but many docs have patients booked ten mins apart these days. It's harsh. In any case, I was told she spent a lot of time and care to listen to her patients. So I chose her on my insurance because that is important to me. In December of 2017 I came down with a dizziness problem. It started off slow but I was aware and thought perhaps something was wrong.I called this office to speak to an office person, as it was mild but I was concerned. I let her know I would wait a day or two and if it progressed I would call back for an appointment. I don't like running to the doc when it may be just a small thing that may resolve itself. So I called to get a feel for their schedule as I was a new patient, and understand the process. All seemed well.Things got worse and I became dizzy and disoriented, called and left them a message on a Wednesday morning. Heard nothing by Friday. Called back and could not reach someone. I went to the local walk in clinic (more expensive, not MY doc, but I needed to be seen) and was treated for an inner ear infection (which it wasn't...but that was a logical place to start).Just over a week later, this doctors office, whom I had been proactive with, and left a message with, finally returned my call. They casually asked if I still needed an appointment. After a pause, because I admit I was feeling shocked, angry, upset, confused and really a bit annoyed. Do I need that appointment? Hmmm... I tried hard to gather myself... and find some grace somewhere deep down considering I was dizzy and falling all over like a drunkard minus the booze, which was scary and not cool. And I did need to see a doc but....And I explained that I needed to see the doctor the previous week when I had left the message. I asked if my message was lost? Was this the practices policy to call patients back over a week later, etc? I wanted to try and give her (believe it was the office manager) an opportunity to maybe say the doctor was sick or perhaps there was an emergency. It had to be something like that because the sole reason she has a job is so that she can provide sick people with prompt appointments for medical service, right? Now here's the fun part for me... she wasn't apologetic. She wasn't angry or upset. She really showed no emotion. And so I reverted back to, "is this the typical customer service your office provides because the doctor was highly recommended but waiting over a week for just a call back is unacceptable?"..line of discussion. And again, it was like she felt nothing. I wasn't even mean. Just all business...and it is business...the business of my health which is kind of important. She had the best 'I-don't-give-a-shît' tone of voice I have heard in YEARS! I was too shocked and disgusted to be mad. I almost envied her for it!! How can you work in the medical field and not care about calling sick people back in a timely fashion to get them to see a doctor? Is your heart full of black muck or do you just not have a heart, robot lady who doesn't say sorry when you do sucky office things? Epic doc office fail!Ok sorry that got a little ranty there but that's just never happened to me before and I needed to somehow try to convey how this woman behaved and how that made me feel. In any case, if that doctor was like Patch Adams, and she may very well be from what I was told, I will never know because her office staff is horrendous...and a doctor is only as good as their supportive staff.Good luck and find a doctor that offers the "total package"! This office is NOT that office, sadly.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
