List of Frederick Primary Care Associates's Reviews
I’ve been a patient at this practice for about two decades, and they’re my primary care provider. I’ve always been very pleased with the staff, the facility, appointment availability, and the medical care. The practice recently went through a renovation, and the modernized look and feel is a nice touch.

Unfortunately, my favorite doctor, Dr. Dale Heitzig, is retiring. I saw Dr. Heitzig for almost 20 years and will miss him. That said, I haven’t had any issues with the other doctors, they’ve all been knowledgeable, kind, and empathetic. I’ve been seeing Dr. Khilji recently, he’s great. The front desk staff, nurses, and physician assistants have been wonderful as well. There’s also a LabCorp attached to the facility, which makes lab work super convenient.

I highly recommend this practice.
I've been using Frederick Primary Care Associates for quite a while. Highly recommend
worst doctors office ever horrible experience workers were very rude and inconsiderate and unprofessional
Best office, Rebecca and her team are outstanding 👏🏽
I debated posting this but changed my mind after telling other people about my interaction. I have had the stomach bug going around lately and have been feeling really really bad. I typically go to Frederick Health but my usual office had nothing available for a bit and I didn’t want to go to Urgent care since my fever broke and i just needed something to help with the nausea and body aches. My boyfriend and his family are patients here and said they take walk-ins. They suggested I try to get in here instead of going to Urgent Care with the assumption this would be cheaper. (they had no idea it was for existing patients only otherwise I would have called ahead to ask) So, Tuesday (12/30) I thought I would give this office a shot. I come in and ask the lady at the front if they do accept walk ins. she doesn’t look me and says not until 9:30 (it was around 8am), then follows up with asking if I am an existing patient. I am not. I have never been here. She says that walk-in appointments are only for existing patients. I asked if there was any availability for a new patient appointment & that if there wasn’t I understand and it was no big deal. She turns to the woman next to her and they both say no there’s not. the other lady asks me if im an existing patient, I respond again, no I am not. she asks where i usually go, I say Frederick health. she responds very rudely and loudly “and frederick health doesn’t have any openings for you?” i say no they do not. she asks to see my insurance and is looking over it. says they accept it but that they have no np appointments and walk-ins are for existing patients. I say “ thats fine i understand “ and hold my hand out for my insurance card back. she keeps it in her hands looking it over just repeating the same information over and over again. i say “that’s fine i understand, could i have my card back?” she continues to hold it repeating the same information - walk-ins are for existing patients & there are no openings for new patients. I ask for my card back a second time and she finally gives it back. I say thank you and i leave. I already don’t feel well cause of the puking, diarrhea, stomach cramps, and body aches. but this front office was unnecessarily rude. I am not stupid I understand that only existing patients can be seen for walk-in appointments. Asking to see my card when there was no intention of getting me in, ignoring me asking for my card back, & not looking at me as a person was unnecessary. I was an ill human being looking for help. I was treated as a stupid inconvenience. My apologies. I ended up just going to Frederick Health’s Urgent Care. Who knows if the people at the front office here were nicer I would have switched here. Truthfully I was thinking about it since my partner goes here and he liked it so far. He is now thinking about switching to Frederick Health. Longer wait times but at least you’re treated like a person who matters.
Scheduling appointments, especially for annual physicals, is impossibly ridiculous and worse when you have something come up in your life that requires moving an appointment. The folks who answer the phones are often not polite, do not seem to care, and act as though they’re doing patients a favor when interacting with them. The office charges patients for absolutely everything, beyond belief. Do not bring up anything you are not there for or they will find a way to charge you for multiple services and sometimes even when the physician brings something up and you only acknowledge the words (not content) they said. This practice is not what a good doctor’s office should or used to be. Would recommend looking elsewhere.
I usually give this location a good rating because my doctor, Dr. Dechosa (who is also Star), was unavailable for this incident. However, this customer service at this location has seriously deteriorated.

I called FPC (Solarex Ct.) to get my COVID result after waiting for two days without anyone getting back to me - The doctor did tell me it will be back within 24 hours, but it wasn’t. Fortunately, LabCorp had sent me the results directly that morning.

The person who answered the phone was incredibly rude and should not be in customer service. All I wanted was for the results to be explained to me and to inquire if I was still eligible to get Paxlovid. Of course, I wasn’t!

She claimed that the doctor who submitted the test wasn’t available, implying that no one checks the results.

This could have been a more serious matter, but she had an attitude telling me that the results had just been received (by then, it was after 3 pm). Very dismissive!!
I received the results from LabCorp that same day at 5:30 am.
Staff claiming they called my number and “husband” cancelled appt when there is no proof of that! Thank you.
There is one receptionist (middle aged white woman) that tends to treat Caucasian people much better and nicer and tends to look down upon African-Americans with an attitude no matter how nice you speak to her. And don't have a balance left over, the attitude gets worse. It always seems like she is ready to argue with you no matter the circumstances. Of course she was more patient with her white counterpart and more deliberate with blacks. My daughters asked do people still act like that in today's society and I told her it is mostly in the work space and doctors offices.
Don’t waste your time with these guys won’t even spend the time of day to took up my insurance. I was referred to them by med star. I guess front desk is too busy to take any body new in.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
